Some good advice for you:V1rus wrote: BSc IT 1st year. Never programmed and I'm really doing good!.
Try to learn and understand as much as you can when doing projects for any of your subjects, which include coding programs, the practical experience is what you need for the "real world", when you see a genius nerd in your class wrote an amazing project, try to get his source afterwards and learn all that you can from his wisdom, because that basic stuff that they teach you at varsity is barely enough to help you when you start working, in other words try to get a head-start. If you can master and add extra value to your "real" IT subjects and just pass the rest of the "ancillary" subjects then you have made the most of your extremely broad field of study. Also don't be afraid/lazy to write programs just for fun, because the more you struggle and encounter exceptions, the more experience you get, and experience helps your CV A LOT. True stuff.

I've done pretty impressive stuff before with C and Assembler... just a shame I lost the code ages ago.
lol, I still remember almost landing into deep shit when a guy from Russia and I managed to port the Bots (Artificial game players) from Counter-Strike Zero to Counter-Strike Source and half of the world's Source servers had bots playing instead of real people. This was long before Valve Software released the official bot players to practice against.
Every LAN party in Potch used my cracks for Valve's games and they were always up to date... those were the days... only a shame that I've not touched a single computer game since 2006. Completely lost all interest and these days I play around with Excel and Word for fun.

CS 1.6 was the best by far

But the real problem is that you have to register by 22Jan and when I register it tells me I dont meet the prerequisites but I do.
And the best part is that they closed down the call centre "to make it easier for us" now they just do emails!
