If everybody does it, is it still cheating?

I train abs twice a week, but try for 3 times when I get time. For crunches I use a 5kg ball which my partner throws at me for 3x30 reps.
A 5kg Ball!! that must hurt, I will throw him back!!

I like having a small waist so I don't use weights anymore, I merely used them in the beginning to add some size to my Abs, otherwise they won't stick out enough
I train them 2x a week, Tuesday I focus on upper and middle abs (crunches and sit ups) I also do hyper-extensions (no weights)
Thursday - Obliques and lower abs (leg raises and twisty crunch stuff)
I mix the reps / sets up every now and then (any stimulation is good stimulation for abs) sometimes slow and low reps, other times high fast reps.
This routine made my core strong for squats etc. but kept it small, and my abs are not that difficult to see with 12% body fat
Dream BIG, one Rep at a time.

It doesn't hurt if you can catch it. Remember where I'm from?? Our trophy case is full of all shapes and sizes trophies due to the fact that we CAN catch a ball. :haha

If you always put limit on everything you do, physical or anything else. It will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.

I recently added squats on the fitness ball into my core workout. Now that works you good. Tried it with a barbell and could only do one set. Bloody hard I tell you.
thats a great exercise. try doing overhead squats (while holding the barbell over your head with extended arms) with a light weight - its the best core exercise for overall strenght and stability there is and if you want to take it up a notch, hold dumbells over-head instead of the barbell! i could do hundreds and hundreds of situps, leg raises, roman chair, twisties etc etc, but when i started weightlifting and powerlifting and had to do these exercises i found my core wasnt nearly as strong as i thought...
