OK so my right side lat is bigger than the left. How am I going to rectify this? One arm dumbbell rows? Is that it?

How long will it take to even out? I hate this. :(

Lats take ages to grow, especially for ectomorphs. You can try 1 arm pull ups, start with the smaller side,do as many reps as you can till failure, then do the same amount of reps on the bigger side.Use the same technique with dumbell rows.

narrow grip pull ups focussing on not overcompensating .with your dominant side ... do a giant set of 50 with every back routine and they will start to even out after a few weeks.

Nothing worth doing is ever easy.

I did back today, did 50 Pull Ups. How narrow? I did them just a bit wider than shoulder width apart.

I have the same prob, I just pushed harder and heavier each week, and I stick to machines with its own individual movement for each side and after a month its nice and symmetrical again. Just focus hard on the muscle being trained. :)

What's the possibility of a pinched nerve on the left side of my back/trap causing the right side to work harder?

Well it's something, dunno if it's a muscle or nerve. Starts from my spine and extends to the left through the trap towards the shoulder. It's stiff as can be. Been like that since an injury a couple of months ago. Never had it looked at. Basically couldn't move my neck in any direction for 2 weeks. Had to turn my whole body to face someone when talking to them. Do you think this could cause any problems?

Should I go to a chiro or physio to have it looked at?

Let your chiro take a look champ, not likely its a nerve or disk, more probable its a facet syndrome with some muscle spasm or involvement. Can cause you to compensate with one side. Have had the odd patient with uneven growth related to posture conditions

Um, but im scared of needles...

I am falling apart. Curious case of milktuds...
It's my posture/spine type. When I got my BF% taken by the Biokineticist she told me of the above. Said I need to do exercises to strengthen my Transverse Abdominus. I don't know of any exercises or if it's the right thing to correct my posture.

I also suffer from that. Not so much kyphosis anymore since training has helped it a bit, but my posture's still bad.

My physio strapped me up and gave me exercises, but they never really did much. I don't think she was/is that good :/

I only like physios when they stick those acupuncture needles in me :) , feels so good. Other than that physio feels like a spa treatment like DJ said and you have to come back for weeks on end. So chiro for me as well.

Well still can't figure this one out, but I've switched to one handed back exercises. Went to get X rays and sonar done and my Rotator cuff is fucked and the Rhomboids Minor on the left side also. Don't know if this would cause the side to become weaker.

Okay so it is my rotator cuff that's causing all this kak. Okay shoulder rehab is going okay, but the Bio said I might not be able to go heavy on upper body exercises ever again without screwing up my shoulder any further. Well it's my Supraspinatus and Infraspinatus to be precise. Hulle het verkalk. Sorry don't know how to say that in Engrish..

I had my first training session today and I could feel it. Went really light with everything, upped the reps to 10-15. Even then I experienced pain. So I am fucked. I am now focusing on strict form and lighter weights. But how the hell am I gonna grow if I don't go heavy? She also said I should take up swimming. I also have to do these stabilizer exercises for my rotator cuff along with my normal training.

I am gonna have to go with a whole new approach to training. Don't know what and how yet, but I'll have to train differently that's for sure

Not like you guys give a shit, but any ideas???? OR should I just get the op done and over with.

Hey milktuds, dis bietjie kak nuus daai, maar waar daar 'n wil is is daar 'n weg.

Well I say just have the op done and get it over with. You can always go for the Men's Health look but that's real moffie shit!

Best of luck and look after yourself!
