Product: Buzz
TASTE: (1/10) I tried the watermelon flavour and was probably the 2nd worst tasting preworkout I've ever tried, hopefully "Blue Magic" and "Raging Red Raspberry" taste better.
EFFECTIVENESS: (8/10) Took a heaped scoop and nothing happened after +-25 min so I started thinking "aah, it's sh1t..." .But once I started training(another 15min later) I noticed the kick. Not that "bouncing off the walls" feel but makes you really ZONED IN. Pumps weren't too insane but muscle power and endurance was excellent (I was still punishing the iron 1h30 into the workout :silly: )
Price: Unfortunately not yet available in SA so if you wanna try it, you gotta import it yourself

Hi Furk.
Sampled one of these today. Was in the mood for something sweet but did not want to really go all out and cheat.
Also going to take this as an opertunity to appologise to you for the first time you posted about the quest bars. Sory for doubting you in your field of expertise and calling you out Furk. But I have grown and learned since then. Sorry Bro.
Tastes verry nice actually. Not powdery or tasteless like other bars.
Like Furk said 19g Fibre 5g Carbs if wich only 1g is sugar. 20g Protein.
Only bad thing. Like Furk first said kak expensive hey I paid R38 at Dischem.
Would not be a bad Idea to keep a few of these in the car and in the house. I would rather have one of these than buy any other shitty protein bar that is full of sugar and carbs anyway.
It is on you. It always has been...

USN Wheytella: Not as good tasting as it sounds. Agree with the comments above. Alcohol shitty macros, but it's not pure isolate so I guess we can let that slide.
SSN N.O.Rage (I know I'm late trying this)
Taste: Volcanic anus.
Mix-ability: Yeah OK. Anything better than BCAAs I'll give 5 stars.
Kick/focus/stim: I'm pretty satisfied with it.
Pump: Don't really pay attention to this and or hahaha, just steam through my routine.
New item on bucket list, find pre-workouts that taste good. Bullnox Watermelon is probably the best I've tasted. Screw everything else.
Unrelated, when is it OK to make fun of/ ridicule / troll the salesmen in the supplement section? If I had incentive I would tune some of these monkeys. FFS.

No haven't, how do the macros look? Which GNC BTW, there are like only 4 in the country and they are all situated strategically as to hook rich people. If there are any people on here that work at GNC I apologise, but it's 100% sales pitch, zero fuck given about the customer.Demolish wrote: @Furk

Sorry went offer on a tangent. GNC is only good for Quest Nutrition, keen to simple their whey.

Rooi Bul, Quest bars contain 24g carbs. They only have 5g carbs if you believe in that whole "Atkins net carbs" malarkey (carbs minus fibre), which I definitely don't.
The new SSN protein bars are much better on a macro level, and are damn tasty! Plus they're R10 less than the Quests. I highly recommend them

Hmm, ok. So the macros on the packaging are incorrect?

The fibre is most likely used as a binding agent in the Quest bars. How fibre works is that it passes through your digestive track without being broken down. It's sometimes referred to as "indigestible fibre", same thing. Fibre is only found in the carb macro. Don't be fooled by the "only 1g sugar" thinking that's the net carbs, some companies try to fool you that way. Total listed carbs - fibre = impact carbs. For the sake of keto and fasting though, sugar alcohols are also considered impact carbs.

Yeah, I'm well aware of what fibre is and how it works, as well as impact carbs and the whole schpeil about minusing the fibre from the carbsFurk wrote: Hey Schmidt don't believe I've seen the new SSN bars, I'll keep an eye out.

What I was trying to point out to Rooi Bul was that he stated the Quest bars only contain 5g of carbs, which is only true if you believe in that whole impact carb thing, which I don't. I take the stated carbs on the label as the carb in the bar, in this case 20 odd grams of carbohydrates. As I just said I don't minus fibre, so if it says 20g I take it as 20g.
Rooi Bul was so kind however to tell me he trusts you and only you, so I was just questioning the accuracy of the label

I took it for granted that you did. TBQH from your thread it's obvious you know what's what. Just making extra sure.

You do what you feel comfortable with. This is why I took the time to explain fibre. Dr.Atkins did not invent fibre, he just unraveled a piece of information that can be exploited.

No, I guess he hold's my word in high regard is all. He's not brown-nosing, and I never demanded praise or apologies. No one is at fault.

Lallie got me some Animal Rage XL 30 servings. Grape of Wrath flavour. Took one scoop yesterday morning before a fasted 10k run. Tastes shit. Really works though had good constant energy and focus no crash. It does not contain any carbs or sugar. I would mix it with the same flavour Animal Juiced Aminos on weight days though. Love the T Shirt.

Hurricane whey - choc flavour. It's very sweet but it hasn't caused any stomach issues which is nice and it's not bad tasting, sweet just isn't my favourite!
CreaMax - orange. Taste is fine, I sometimes mix with a bit of Oros, I loaded the creatine with 25-30g for the first 4 days and gained a kilo, as is to be expected during the loading of creatine. It's my first time using creatine in about 5 years and I'm enjoying the workouts and feel good doing as much sport as I do!
Beta alanine - unflavored. I mix it with the creatine preworkout with a caffeine tablet or two (150-300mg). The tingling sensation is less than that of some preworkouts that I've used that say 3-4g beta alanine even when I take 6g of this. I took 8g and only then did the nose and ears start to tingle. I'm still happy with the product since I simply upped the dose and it's cheap so it doesn't break the bank.
I will probably buy these products again, I'm happy. The stack cost R850 if I'm not mistaken which I thought was very fair for a 3.2kg protein, 600g creatine and 250g beta alanine (I think).

yeah i also always enjoyed the Hurricane whey, i usually go custom lab and just do whey with choc flavouring. Their vitargo is also decently priced. They have a berry whey isolate which is quite nice, and also saw dischem stock some of the muscle works stuff which is the same thing and they have a beef hydrolysate too
