Heretic47 wrote: pyro, what do you think about changing the arginine for citrulline malate? I've read a few articles claiming that citrulline is better in terms of NO production.
Just did some reading on citrulline malate, I am deffinetly going to be throwing that into the mix. Do you no where i can get it bud?

hey manery
I used to order from a place in America but ever since the new laws regarding supplements it's way too much effort. still looking for a local supplier but nothing concrete yet.
will post here again if I find one that's not too expensive.

manery wrote: PRE workout drink.
3g CEE (Any reason why you are taking CEE before and CMono afterwards?)
4g DAA (Take this in the morning so that it has time to get to work long before your workout)
3g L Taurine (Rather take 2g before and 1g afterwards)
1g L Canitine (Up this to 2g)
5g BCAA
5g beta alinine
200mg caffiene (Caffeine is BS and shouldn't be used)
30g dextrose
(Add Glutamine, AAKG or Citrline Malate here)
POST workout shake
60g Dextrose
40g whey (don't take whey and BCAA's. Rather do BCAA's post and then do you whey on the meal afterwards)
5g Glutamine (Up this to 7g)
5g bcaa
5g creatine mono
I love my pre-workout, works great and really cost effective.

Do you premix a big tub of this or do you sit and redo your mix every day?
Why do you not do any Whey with your post workout?
What about DAA with the pre-workout?
Where do you get your L-Arginine?
Thanks

Not taking whey post workout is nonsense. Yes, BCAA is absorbed faster but that is really taking 'getting your amino acids in fast' too far. You need more than 3 amino acids for protein synthesis and whey has them all. 5g of BCAA post work out can NOT replace 50g whey.
Do you seriously think all the nutrition experts and world champ bodybuilders out there just didn't have the coaching and sense to figure out that BCAA is better than whey protein post workout?? Too much bro-science.

To you it may look like I just did a push-up... But in fact, I just bench-pressed the world.

Pyroclasm wrote: I will quote myself: "Thing is BCAA's are the basic building blocks of protein. You could take whey as well, but the BCAA's will be absorbed and distributed to the muscles a lot faster.
Amino acid are the building blocks of protein. Whey contains all 20 and a good amount of the 9 essentials. BCAAs are the most important 3 aminos for building muscle followed by glutamine yes, but you can't replace 50g of whey with 5g of BCAA and your glutamine.
Whey contains around 30% BCAA which would be around 16g in a shake with 50g whey. Now you are saying take 5g BCAA instead of whey? No chance.
I didn't even mention DJ. Don't put words in my mouth bro. I take BCAA straight after my Whey post workout and no clinical study out there can show me that taking BCAA only would be better.
5g pre + 7g intra + 5g post workout could be made more effective by upping the doses. There are tons of studies on pubmed and medscape about this.
