I did not get the LH done as the nurse said its not needed as its a female hormone, however the labs keep the blood for 5 days so I can always add it again if need be.

I have never taken any AAS or anything of that sort, I am really just curious about what my normal / base levels are. So it is still certainly recommended to get the LH done as well?

Also FSH?!?!

Chances are I will not be cycling until next year sometime.

You ask us for our advice, you don't take it, and now you want more advice? That ticks me off.

LH is one of the most important things to test for men who use or plan to use steroids. Without LH your balls can not make testosterone. LH is most definitely not a female hormone.

FSH stimulates sperm production. Without it you are sterile.

The first form I had I forgot at work, so the nurse filled out the other form and I helped her remember all that needed to be ticked. She was quite sure I did not have any need for the LH.
She said if I really did that I can get it added - so I came here to just find out and confirm it all, I will certainly take your advice over some nurse with regards to AAS.

No clue why she thought it was a female hormone, I was also a bit surprised as I do not remember anything about it being a female hormone when I googled it way back when I first created this thread.
Thanks for explaining what LH and FSH are!

Thanks guys, I will give the Dr office first thing tomorrow morning and ask them to add the LH and FSH. :)

I hope the results come back good. My one friend thinks it might be better to have lower test so that I qualify for TRT... I certainly do NOT want that! Fingers crossed ^^

I will ask the Dr for a copy of my results, or worst case scenario make note of what they are and then post them here as soon as I get them!

PsyCLown, TRT may sound attractive to some cause they hear "Free testosterone injections!". The actual ramifications are pretty deep, it's not to boost your T nice and high, it's to replace your to the "normal range". You are still only human with TRT. If you don't qualify for TRT you do all you can to elevate your natural T. Simple, easy, and no life-long downsides.

That is my thinking. With TRT you sort of need / highly recommend injecting yourself for the rest of your life as your body isn't able to produce the right amount naturally.

If your levels are at least normal, you can still cycle and push your test levels even higher and provided you do your PCT and cycles properly you will more than likely be fine afterwards and have your natural T levels normalized afterwards and can go on with your life merrily without injecting yourself to keep your test levels normal.

Anyways, called the Dr this morning to ask them to add the LH and FSH and I ended up speaking to the nurse again. She asked me whether I am sure if I want the tests done as the medical aid might not cover it and they are "female hormones" yadda yadda. I told her I am sure and she said she would need to run it past my Dr and then I told her if there is any issues please to have the Dr call me.

End of the day, I will be paying for the tests so I do not see why there would be a problem with me asking for some other tests to be done while the lab has my blood.
Hopefully they do not screw up and there aren't any issues and I can have my results on Monday or Tuesday. They already received some from the lab this morning.

Eager to see what my results are

Yip, your understanding is correct.

I agree, your money your tests. I end up paying for all my bloods most of the time anyway. Usually only covered by aid if Dr prescribed it + uses correct code + path. lab has deal with your aid. Ja results come quick, just takes forever for the doc to follow up and let you know sometimes haha. Let us know what happens mate.

Stats I mean age, height, body fat, training history, chemical use history? At 23 you are young, always take the most conservative route.

I was wondering WTF difference location makes, unless it was with regards to the blood labs maybe having issues in some regions or something

Furk wrote: Stats I mean age, height, body fat, training history, chemical use history? At 23 you are young, always take the most conservative route.

Age: 23
Weight: Around 55KG
Height: 1.64m
Body fat: Approx 11 or 12%
Training History: Started again properly and consistently (except when sick) last year August or September
Chemical use: No steroids, only supplements have been creatine & protein and once tried some mass gainer (biggest mistake).

I am going to the Dr after work, so will report back with the results when I get home.
I plan on doing things properly should I ever juice. Hence why I am on this forum trying to learn as much as I can and not rushing into anything. :P

At your age, why do you think you have low test???

also, your stats show there's lots of room for natural progression!

Based on your stats, 64kgs is easily reachable, Clean!!

How's that training program & diet look???

I just do, shall find out today thought I guess.

Yeah, hence why I am going to stay natural for a while longer still.

Training program, I have been adjusting that every few months. I am now gyming solo so changing it again at the moment.
As for diet, that is something I am busy improving on. Trying to clean it up and eat better overall.
I have cut out a lot of sugar, I try and avoid sugar now. I use to previously snack on a lot of chips and chocolates and sweet things. I have switched over from white to brown bread, however am trying to cut that out - its the easiest thing for me to order if I did not bring lunch from home.
That I am trying to adjust as well, cook meals for supper which I will then have for lunch at work as well and then trying to make breakfast the night before - scrambled eggs with bacon and on the days I forget have jungle oats with some milk and honey.

So I am busy building that up and getting there, trying to go with something which is maintainable, where I can continue eating like that even if I stop gyming. I don't want to diet just for the duration of a cycle then not want to / be able to continue eating like that.

I will probably create another thread sometime soon with regards to my eating and work out plan and try get some advice there. Been sick so am busy getting back into gyming as I was sick then my gym partner (who had a black tag) started working weird shifts so I had to get my own gym contract and then it was Easter and I ended up in Durban for a friends wedding so my eating and gyming has been really bad the past 3 weeks or so.

Hi all,

So I saw my Dr and first thing he said as we sat down was "Why is your testosterone levels soo high". At first I thought he was joking but according to the tests, nope. I am reallly surprised by the results and am not too sure what to make of it.

Everything else is fine - the others tests I had done. I can post them too if need be. Kidney, liver, blood count, lipid profile, glucose and thyroid.

So here are the results:

I honestly have no clue why my test is soo high, have never taken any AAS or AI's or anything of that sort. I take a multivitamin, some Omega oils, SSN Whey Protein, Evox Creatine.

The Doc thought I might be taking something and then thought that the whey protein or creatine contains something.
Opinions / thoughts and how does the test levels, LH and FSH look altogether?

Thanks!

EDIT: So reason I thought my test might be on the low side is due to the fact that everyone says that higher test makes you feel more manly and masculine and more like an alpha male. I have not really been feeling that way, sometimes perhaps the opposite and a bit on the "timid" / "sensitive" side.
Also my sex drive decreased a bit, normally it is pretty high however recently it has felt more "normal" from what I can gather from my friends I talk to and other people. That was a bit of a strange change.
Also higher test seems to improve on mood, my mood has been strange. There have been days where I feel great and then other days where I feel "meh", however everyone has bad days so yeah.
I do not think I have any gyno, truth be told not even 100% sure what to look out for. A lump, however by then it is probably a bit late. Sensitive or itchy nipples I think and I do not have either of those.

Yeah, I ain't hiding anything. If there was something I had taken or was taking I would have said so.

So now what? What are the chances there is something in the supplements I am taking?
Should I do as the Dr recommended and stop taking all supplements for 3 months and then have my Testosterone levels tested again?
Considering it is on the higher side should I be worried about it aromatising to estrogen?

FSH and LH seem to be on the lower side of adult males?

If at a later point I were to start using steroids, any issues I might run into or things I should look out for etc?

Squinting hard, I see your free test is 744 nmol/l (normal 180 - 139)
So you're just above & outside the range.

If you're having no sides, I say milk it for everything you can.

If your moods, etc. aren't what you'd like - go have some fun (more to life than just pumping iron)
You're 23, party on.

As for what your mates are saying about sex drive, etc. they lying
Just being more chilled & having more fun will fix your drive too.

dammit - Still don't like you, you one lucky .... :P

Alrighty then, so just take it for what it is and enjoy the fact that my test levels seem to be on the higher side of things. Awesome I guess, lucky me.
I guess I do not have any excuse as to why I shouldn't be able to put on a fair bit of muscle?

Ahh alright, interesting. I never knew that. I actually had not trained in 3 weeks when I got my bloods done. I was sick for a week, then unable to train due to no gym membership and then was on Durban for the 3rd week. haha

First thing I did when I started gyming again end of last week after the blood tests were squats, then did some deadlifts today :woohoo:

As for the side effects, I guess if you start thinking about it just about anyone could end up with those side effects.
What tests can I get done just to check my estrogen (and I think progesterone) levels? Or what exactly should be checked to make sure that not too much test is being aromatised? I'd like to get it done just for peace of mind. :)

Out of curiosity, why?
No need to or could it possibly reduce my naturally high test levels or will I end up with worse side effects?
Also for interest sake, what is the average test level of someone who is injecting around 2ml (500mg?) of Test Cyp (PGW) a week?

I really want to get my diet better now, hopefully you guys can assist me a bit.
Will try and post some pictures and then get some advice and feedback regarding a diet and training program. I think I will create a new thread for that though :)

Ever heard of stonies? sore nips when you were a teen.
CNA? Cripple Nipple Association - Your mate would grab and twist. Hurt like a bitch.

Typical teen test / Estrogen issues. That's probably when some of the fatter kids started their man boobs.

If you have no worries/annoying sides, carry on regardless.
If you feel you must, get you E levels tested.

As for using AAS.
They will all shut down your natural test production during the cycle.
Hence the PCT to help recover your natural test production.
And with repeated cycles, you may not recover fully each time, reducing your natural test levels.

So in your case, you have no reason to use AAS.
On average, year round, you probably have more test that okes running cycles.
So use it while the going is good.

Alright, interesting.

Which tests should I tick on the Lancet form?

Noted on the AAS and not making a full recovery, I shall be staying away from AAS then.

What would happen if I were to take an AI? Could it cause long term damage? Is it ill advised?
Would it be fine to try it out and see whether there are any improvements / effects and worst case being I just waste a bit of money?
