ice-rip wrote: KOE. What's the discount they giving you. I would need to get the quote from you and then speak to my guys. The dynaudio system really isn't worth the bucks. If I played my standard system and if you heard the dynaudio, u won't be able to tell the difference. Or I couldn't anyways. Are you looking at dsg as well. At 455k, I assume you are. Remember nobodys willing to give discount on the R or 35 edition. I'm sure I can get between 3 and 4 percent. Settlement on your car shouldn't be too hard as that mileage is low for a 6 year old car.

Ja so I would need ur quote. Not sure how we gonna do that

That will help a lot I'll ask admin really nicely if he don't mind forwarding you the quote

@ABC you should look at a second hand low mileage 3 series or similar about a 2009 model and still has 2 years on the motorplan and can extent the motorplan for a few grand (I paid about 4k for a year). Compare that to a polo or similar with 3 year motorplan for same price (and pols don't come with motorplans standard I think)

@Koe I'd choose that golf R.
I drove a regular golf 6 the other day and was probably one of the nicest cars I've drive so I'm sure the R is beast!

Don't know how much you car about resale values but I'm sure the golf will hold its value the best, look at the golf 5 R, they held their value well!

i am gonna be talking from experience here, DO NOT BUY A SECOND HAND SPORTS CAR/FAST CAR. 99% of the guys who own them before you rape the shit out of them and then 3-4 months down the line the problems start, even on low milage. 2008 models mean that someone else has been driving them for the last 4 years, and if they have been owned by men under the age of 60 u know that sometimes the petrol foot turns into concrete and the pedal hits the floor.

SLK is 2 seater? vs the other which is bigger vars

What will you use car for, daily, weekend, family?

The R for sure. The R32 is nice, but N/A car is not that fast up here. No feeling like either a V8 or a Turbo car.

Guys
Why would KOE need an AMG panty dropper when he is married. Most of us are past that age now

AMG is still the one that has the best presence to it and the status the goes with that.the other 2 cars are nice but not in the same league.

However what DJ says is true. Also the motor plan and warranty plays a role so go for the a new car.better option financially if something goes wrong.

Ps-still nice to own a car that has the panty dropper function :P

I've been in a similiar boat for a while now i.e. new car vs pre-owned dream car. The upside with a new car is that you can customise it (colour, extras, etc), and have maintanance peace of mind (motorplan).

My advice to you - buy new.

MAX OUT your expectations of what is possible for you...you CAN handle the weight

Thing is when you buy a car out of the box the cars are WAY overpriced- I mean there have already been three price hikes this year. If you are gonna buy new then atleast buy a demo model. At the very least then you are taking advantage of the fact that the car depreciates instantly when you drive it off the floor. Personally for me as long as the car has a motorplan who cares how the previous drivers rode it- if anything goes wrong then it's not your problem. I always insist on brand new tyres when I buy.

Obviously. Isn't that the main reason they sell them on? :(

KOE. Your discount of 3% is confirmed on a brand new red golf R if you interested. That's around 13k off.its fully speced with recaro seats too but its a manual. Let me know. Cool

Koe what about the RS3 Sportsback, might be a tad more expensive. The power and looks will make up for it though

I bought an Audi brand new on the 5 april 2012 coz being a new dad to be I thought I needed boot space etc. It was the facelift A4 that just launched. The 1.8T. It was so big the wife refused to drive it and it couldn't fit in the garage. Plus the turbo lag was hectic. So I decided to trade it in. Price of it was 379k. Traded at 300k. Lost 60k cash in 1 month. Don't wanna put u off bro but audis resale sucks as bad as bmw. The scirocco is the way to go in my opinion. If u want an audi though brand new I also have a contact there who can hook u up. The audi is a much better ride though

U always gonna loose money on trading cars bud,its one of those things, u gonna loose on a audi or a vw,u might loose 10K less on a vw but its an audi, much better looking than rocco and its the coupe, that's world class... A5 vs rocco, can't compare,2 differnt leagues in my mind.
