@iMan only problem is he doesn't have time on his side doctors don't see him surviving very long the way he is going on a.t.m he has every conceivable obesity related disease out there and his body is shutting down .. but i tried my best and now i wash my hands in innocence and let him go forth .. the family intervention idea was done a few weeks ago but brought no change or anything so its a lost cause

Of course there is still time. With decrease in bodyfat so will the risks. Not sure what diseases he has, but I can think hypothyroidism is one of them. Go to a specialist, not a doctor. Get second opinions. His mindset is the biggest problem, not the diseases. I myself suffer from mediocre hypothyroidism and some days are difficult just getting out of bed. But that does not stop me from still reaching single digit bodyfat. Is he on medication?

Which area are you based? If you are in Gauteng send me a mail bud. I come from 165kg. And I have a bud who started at 240kg. He dropped down to a current 154kg. I will talk to him. As MA said. His problem is not over eating. That is just his release valve.
There is hope, but when you are where he is at this stage it is a very dark hole and turning back is very diificult.
