Hi all,
I've read that steroids can enhance collagen synthesis.
Well, can it heal inflamed ligaments/fascia?

My plantar fascia (ligament between heel and toes) is too short and I have a high arch, which leads to heel pain, everyday since forever, after no more than 30min standing.

I've tried cortisone injections, which gave a TEMPORARY 40% reduction in pain.
Next the doc wants to CUT OFF the fascia!!!
No way, no how.

Physiotherapists use a technique called dry needling combined with steroids, to cure plantar fasciitis.
Which steroids would that be?

Any help plz :)

Those are catabolic steroids (cortisone) shots... not anabolic steroids. cortisone is used for inflamation... problem with that is it eats bone marrow and eats your muscles.. I hate cortison for so many reasons.

I know the difference between cortico-steroids and AAS,
and I'm pretty sure the author of the article in the Runners World knows it too (hopefully)

That's why I am asking.

So which roid is best for collagen synth?

Not sure dude, new to me

<cut>

You should research collagen synthesis,,,Equi is good for collagen synthesis and the collagen formed is stronger than normal whereas too much Test reduces collagen synthesis,,,Winstrol increases synthesis but the collagen is brittle and porous,,,And yes blocking cortisol for too long will cause the joints to ache,,,Remember cortisol has its useful side too,,,FF

</cut> see site below, hop that puts you onto some sort of a path in your research

You seen forum.mesomorphosis.com/steroid-forum/be...ledge-134242379.html ?

Thanks pump.

Oh ja, there is one more interesting type of therapy for plantar fasciitis.
They take some of your blood, extract the growth factor rich plasma and then inject it into your problem area, which speeds up healing.

Why not just use hgh, can hgh be used to heal inflammation?

Intresting

These studies descibe hGH to be used for inflammation

You might be onto something good that we all could use.. Specially how I struggle with the pain in my knee's due to a lack of synovial fluid in my knee's and causing inflammation due to it rubbing together with no fluid there...

and

state that GH increases synovial fluid so it could work to help with the inflammation and in my case create more synovial fluid less friction healthier and stronger bones/joints.

ooh, dry needling for plantar fasciitis... now i can assure you that is not a pleasant procedure... What have you tried so far? Have you had the rest of the kinematic chain (ankle, knee, hip, sacroiliac) assessed? The fascia under the foor runs contiuous with that of the posterior aspect of th leg and back... Oftentimes one can affect the other.

Um, but im scared of needles...

yes there r some that increase collagen synthesis
anavar, boldenon
gh nr1

i dont know what roids the physiotherapist use, you should ask them directly

but i highly doubt this will work, its not that simple.

good luck and keep us posted

Yes, my orthopedic doc says my calves, hams and all the tendons/ligaments are fine.
Like I said, mine is not caused by overuse, I have a high arch and a short plantar fascia...
I have tried custom innersoles and cortisone, no luck so far,
although crocs help a lot :silly:

Luckily the dry needling is done on a numbed foot, but I think it will be sore afterwards.

Thnx pump,
But these studies are for joint inflammation.
My problem is not in a joint, it is microtears where the fascia attaches to the heel.
BUT, if I where to inject hgh underneath my foot is that a good or bad idea?

It is a corticosteroid and its name is;
Triamcinolone acetonide....

Here's a nice site about dry needling + steroids and its 95% effectiveness.
www.oandp.com/articles/2009-04_10.asp

But I don't think it will cure my plantar fasciitis,
I'm not overweight, don't over pronate, don't stand alot, don't run alot.
I'm just born this way... :(

EQ has very high rate of collagen synthesis-300+% and nandrolene as well, but I don't think it will help with this really.

you can try but it doesnt work that easy
gh is not a miracle cure for every collagen issue, nor will it enhance collagen synthesis in all the human tissues
i suggest you chat about it with experts in the field of your problem, but consider the fact that the medical community would have found gh to be usefull in this case, if it were, and thus use it, which i assume they dont.

you basically want your fascia to become more elastic right?
i would be very cautious with what you're doing

A bit of nandrolene or EQ or growth can't do any harm.

Medical community are very skeptical about prescribing AAS for anything because there is such a stigma about them-you have to be completely impotent before you can get trt, and even then they give you some damn cream.

I had a lot of pain in my elbows for years and have tried cortisone shots, anti inflammatories from the doc, OTC supplements, gels etc and the thing that worked hands down better than anything was a 6 week cycle of NPP.
Not saying it will work for this-am skeptical-but it can't do any harm

1. The plantar fascia cannot stretch.
If it could no-one would get plantar fasciitis.
2. "Be cautious with what I'm doing" Uhm, I'm asking questions and doing research bud. I'm not going to inject Equi and hgh into my heels!

So what I basically want is for the inflammation to heal.
Inflammation caused by micro-tears in the ligament.
Ligament consists of collagen.
So, I tried healing the inflammation with cortisone, which didn't work.
No I'm asking about healing the source of the inflammation (micro-tears in ligament), if the source is healed the inflammation will disappear.

EQ increases collagen synthesis by 300+% and nandrolene around 290%. So a cycle of EQ and low dose of test for this can't do any harm, and you never know it may just work.

Ok, help me here,
How much of each, and why include the test, and which type?

(Equipoise will cause a suppression of your hormones, such as endogenous testosterone, so I would also recommend using injectable testosterone in any cycle containing it. Failure to do so could result in possible sexual dysfunction and other sides.)

Ok, that covers the "why" part...

I would say 400mg EQ. It depends on how you want to do this-are you going to do it purely as a exercise to try help the ligament or as part of a cycle?

Test at high doses inhibits collagen synthesis, so IMO the ideal collagen building cycle would be test enth at a low dose -250mg per week and EQ at 400-600mg per week. This should give you best shot at high collagen synthesis rate.

Alternatively you could forgo the test and use something like EQ and primo, the primo should overcome any sexual sides from the EQ (if there are any, which is unlikely) and primo also increases collagen synthesis by about 180%.

Further down this thread attached is a reasonable article on collagen synthesis

I am going to do research.
Remember, I'm natural, 21 years old, 3-4 years bb training.

If I do roids it will be to heal my feet.

And if I do roids I want to do it right, meaning, PCT and all that.

Oral Primo? What dose?

Will the primo provide the test that my body needs when running EQ?

I didn't realise you're only 21. It's a bit young.

Primo is actually the 5 alpha reduced version of EQ-it's to EQ what masteron is to testosterone. The reason they say run test with EQ is because EQ converts to dihydroboldonone as the androgen, but the EQ will shut down natural test production. So you will have no DHT by default (no test) and the replacement androgen is DHB, which isn't as androgenic as DHT (same as with deca forms DHN).
Most people can run EQ only cycles and have no problem with androgens as DHB is relatively androgenic, and if run with primo you'll be fine.

You'll just have to think about whether you are ready and want to go this route. It's a bit young, but if your ankle is giving you lot of problems you need to weigh it up.

If you go the primo EQ route I would say 400mg EQ per week and 500mg primo per week.
Primo is expensive though.
If you go the test route, I would go 400mg EQ per week and 250mg test per week.

But take some time to think about it and research it, as I say I wouldn't normally say a 21 y.o should consider using.

yes be cautious, and yes you did mention trying out gh in ur feet
as far as AS are concerned, I am pretty much positive that it wont do anything for you on that level.
and especially not on the long term or after discontinuation of use...

ur talking to the wrong people about this, go and see the experts that qualify for this particular issue

Or, just try it out and give us results.
good luck

Don't worry guys, I'm not the type of person that just jumps into something. I always do thorough research.

And I will speak to some qualified professionals about EQ for ligament repair.

I saw Primo is expensive...
Rather test then, which kind? (prop, enan, supertest, cyp, etc. ...)
