Since starting my cycle i've been doing a 3 days on, 1 day off gym routine. Is this fine? What do guys normally do? Would 4 days on, 1 day off be over training?

As long as u are training the whole body once in a 7day period it will be fine. So doing, legs, shoulders back, day off, then arms, back off, then rest then u are good to go.

Well i'm doing a basic 3 day split at the moment so i'm hitting my whole body twice a week. Here's a breakdown of a week:

Day 1: Chest, Tris and Shoulders
Day 2: Lats, Back and Bis
Day 3: Quads, Hams and Calves
Day 4: Off
Day 5: Chest, Tris and Shoulders
Day 6: Lats, Back and Bis
Day 7: Quads, Hams and Calves

Thoughts? I keep all my workouts to an hour

way too much bro... if u are training everything twice in a 7 day period u arent hitting them hard enough in the first place, this will result in over training... there is no way in hell that i can train legs twice a week when i am lifting as heavy as i can for 6-8 reps...

you recover and grow when you are resting,

i would do :

monday legs and cavles
tuesday shoulders and triceps abs
wednesday off
thursday back and abs
friday chest and biceps and calves
saturday off
sunday off.

'if u are training everything twice in a 7 day period u arent hitting them hard enough in the first place' - Is it possible that I just have fast recovery? I must admit hitting legs twice a week is a bit of chore but in terms of my upper body, any muscle group I hit seems ready to go after only a day of rest no matter how hard I hit them. Reason as to why you suggest triceps with shoulder rather than chest?
