Hey fellas
I've moved to Cape Town so now I'm looking for the best options. I enjoy the atmosphere of busy gyms, especially those that attract people who are part of the fitness industry. Reason being that I it motivates me a hell of a lot more when I'm surrounded by fit/muscular people than clanging weights around in an empty gym. I train alone so I also like to train in with people that I can pick up a few tips from. It would be cool make some connections too as I might compete in a few years time.
You okes have any suggestions? I like the hammer strength machines for back training. Any gyms with that sort of equipment?

In and around town most of my days. I'll probably be in claremost most of the time but I don't mind making the trip to another gym if its worth it.

If i'm not mistaken Claremont has one of those flagship Virgin Actives. That should be a good option

claremont has a few gyms. they have:
Zone Fitness - I saw a machine break and crack a guys head open there once
Virgin Active - expensive but goodish equipment, not a lot of space though
Planet Fitness - apparently it's good and if I'm not mistaken it's open till later than virgin
Sport Science Institute - good equipment but not a lot of it, nice and clean though.
best bet is virgin in my opinion, although it's always full.
