Tricks + Tips to change muscle proportions? was created by Nick
Say for example I want my calves to be bigger in a short period of time but want the rest of my body to stay the same proportion, Would it be a stupid/logical idea to consider just focusing on my calves for a duration of my cycle and just train the rest of my body with light weights while going heavy on the calves.
I should just use common sense here but would like to hear some opinions on the idea.

If you want to make a specific muscle bigger you need to gain weight. When you gain weight your body will spread it out in proportion to your other muscles as well. So no you can't grow one muscle and have the others stay the same size, you can improve the proportion and symmetry by increasing the training frequency of the lagging muscle though.
Just on a side note, I'm glad to see that you have so many questions and are interested in improving your knowledge about training/gear/diet. Having said that you've got 24 posts so far and I wouldn't be surprised if you've made 24 threads, its bordering on spam buddy. Not trying to discourage you from asking questions, just be sure to use the search function first and make sure that your topic hasn't been discussed before

The more I damage the muscle grp the more growth Id achieve in return ( with the rite recovery ofc). So less damage on the grps I dont want to increase in size and more on the grp I do, would make sense. How is that insane dude.
So seeing as a cycle increases recovery rate - I assumed that by applying the above concept and being on a cycle would result in faster growing calves for the duration of my cycle.
Thought it would be a faster method.
I wanted to know if that was the best way to do it or are there other approaches.

my advice is to try it and see where you go with it. people respond diffirently. if i want to get up a lagging bp i train it harder, not more often along with my other bodyparts.
