Chest pain ( ribcage ) was created by Fakey_AK
Hey guys

My mate hurt himself abit while doing chest. After his bench session he started having a sharp pinching pain in his chest in the lower right rib area. Now everytime he breaths in he gets a sharp shooting/pinching pain there making it very uncomfortable to train. So the pain is only there when inhaling.

Does any1 know what might be the cuase of this. I was thinking maybe he pulled a muscle that goes over the ribs ( not sure if this is possible ).

I once had almost the same kind of pain, especially when I inhaled deeply.
(Because of my gf  we play rough )
My doc diagnosed that I had hurt the tip of one of my left ribs, and it thus had inflammation.
Cataflam (Diclofenac sodium 50mg) sorted it out in 3 days.

Dream BIG, one Rep at a time.

Haha leave the whips and chains alone brother haha ;)

I also get sharp pains sometimes in my ribs which hurts when I breath in deeply but they have always gone away after a few deep breaths and stretching.

Love the buuuuuuuuuuuuuurn!

can be i strain or minor tear of an intercostal muscle, these run between the ribs. If the pain is right in the fron then it can be a rib head subluxation or sprain. Pain into the back can be a costovertabral joint. Antiinflamm can sort it out but if it persists more than a few days get it checked out. A chiro can palpate the rib joints and check for problems, and assess the intercostals for trigger points or injury

Um, but im scared of needles...
