Dodgy knees was created by Eidolon
I had some knee ops when I was younger, and played some club rugby afterwards. I'm able to walk, but can feel the cold fronts approaching a day before they're here. There's some torn cartilage in my one knee which makes it lock up painfully from time to time.
I know many guys their doubts about knee wraps, but will it provide a bit more stability and protection when I'm doing squats? At the moment, I've dropped the weight quite significantly to give my knees a bit of a break - no pun intended...

Knee wraps will help alot with this...
Have you been to someone to assist you in strengthening the cartilage and ligaments? As that is the only way you will heal properly! And they can give you idea's on other exercises for legs (Lunges etc)

The cartilage is torn, which causes the knee locking and discomfort. I'm going in for surgery in August to have it repaired - fortunately it's an outpatient op, and I should be able to walk out of the theater. Once I wake up, of course
It sounds a lot less hectic than the cruciate ligament ops I had in the 80's - my whole leg was in plaster for a month, and I had to wear a huge leg brace for six months after it came off too. Rugby for the loos

Yes knee wraps will provide extra support its been helping me as my joints are aching from letro and anavar. However be careful in your situation I would leave square if I were you, also front squat is less straining on the knees, as well as hack squats

I tried to get hold of some Shiek wraps locally, but these guys didn't respond - at all:

I could have gone for the locally made muscle junkie wraps also, but settled for these in the end:

Eidolon, I bought knee wraps at Sportsman and it has a velcro end on each side, so it just holds on, you don't need to tuck them in.. Very nice, I use them on all my compound presses / squats as my knees are also lekka stuffed

Thanks bro. The ones I got also has velcro straps:
This is the ALL NEW 2 or 2.5 m meter length design
With & Without velcro Light to Super Heavy Lifting
Super Strength, support and toughness.
It's already been dispatched from the US of A. Colour is a bit old school, but I'll only be using it at home.

They look nice, when mine give up i'll try the ones above, I would get the 2.5m length, just to get even more bind support

I got the 2.5m ones, yes. An old post from Mr Moose on this forum pointed me in their direction:

The knee braces are also pretty keenly priced.
