I'm guessing it happens to all of us, those flat training days.
You think of pushing a certain weight and the wheels just fall off.
Any exercise you try is just a schlep...

Do you guyz pack it in for the day or push through such days?

Tonight I just packed it in.
Will catch the lost session over the week end though...

Tell me about it tonight I did 60% of what I can, really ticked me off, so I just went to do cardio training for 30 min..

After DJ's crazy ass leg routine on Monday's, followed by bettering my PB's with he's chest routine....

I've been inclined to make Wednesday my rest day.

As DJ pointed out my problem most possibly lies with my lack of sleep.
a Two week old 'mini me' has been the main cause of this. The little bugger has 'acid reflux' he can't sleep horizontal at all.....

I actually very seldom het these flat days!

Isnt that because of an injury? Neck nerve pinch at C7 for me. I can see my right Tri falling flat. Chest suffering as well which is at about 60% as well. Just pushed through concentrating on mind-muscle control with plenty light reps. Just have to keep the faith! Difficult.

I usually push through those days. Once I get started my focus immediately snaps into place. But its to get going that's the hard part.

Then again if I get a day that nothing is going my way, I then pack it in and continue the fight the following day. I get so moody and aggressive when nothing is going right and that's when I knw I'm gna end up injuring myself by forcing things too much.

I think everyone gets those days where you feel flat, and if you have a "mini me" up all night then that wont help.

I always push through those flat days for the pure reason that the body is bloody smart. As long as you push as hard as you can on any given day the physiological response will be the same.

Some days you'll hit PB's, other days you will be off but the body will respond the same. It's also those days that make the difference in the results you get in the long run.

Had a kak one today. I am balancing so many things in my training, running 2.4 bolow 10 min, strength and weight training, bodyweight training. Went heavy yesterday and felt great. Could hardly do pullups, push up or situps today. Not getting in enough carbs, was almost puking. The joys of training.

I've changed my training split and it's doing wonders!
Train Monday, Tuesday
Rest Wednesday
Train Thursday, Friday and Saterday (only if needed)

This and the diet being spot on, has increased all aspects of my training.

I lett my body slip for a couple of years and I am only back in the gym for the last year and a half. The constand dieting to get from 30% bodyfat to 10% has taken a heavy toll. And the last five kg are killing me.

Flat days happen to me just when I'm not mentally focused , should try meditation , yes yes yes , I know meditation , sitting quietly in the sauna , clearing your head , just focusing on your breathing and heart rate will do wonders before you start a workout .
