Shouder pain was created by tnj
Hey guys
While on cycle i developed pains in my front delts.I was seeing a chiro twice a week but eventually i stopped going coz it wasnt helping and so i trained thru the pain with the help of voltarens.I thought that this would be something that i would have to just live with, but it seems now that im on pct the shoulders have eased up quite a lot and the training intensity in still 100%.My strength is only slightly down from when i stopped pinning so in dont think its from pressing lighter weights.I was wondering do the tendons stiffen up while on juice?
Thx guys in advance.

In my opinion, the moment you think that you have injured yourself you need to rest that body part adequately to prevent the injury from becoming a chronic injury.
R- REST
I- ICE
C- COMPRESSION; WHERE POSSIBLE
E- ELEVATION; WHERE POSSIBLE

RICE is all well and good, but is only relevent for an acute injury.
This doesnt sound like an acute injury, more like the tendon was taking a bit of repetitive strain. Did your strength increase dramatically on the cycle? What were your gains like? Tendons take longer than muscle tissue to adapt, develop and strengthen, and as such an increase instrength and subsequent increase in weight lifted can put more force thru a tendon that is not yet prepared for it.
What did your cycle consist of? Another possibility is increased bloodflow to the muscle and thus a painful pump. Did the chiro know what you were taking and did he have any knowledge of anabolics. What was the working diagnosis, and where specifically was the pain felt? What did treatment consist of?

Thx spike for the reply.
My strength went up dramatically.Flat bench went up 40kg from 100kg,bumbell fly's went from 34kg to 50kg.
I picked up a total of 10 kgs and was on a diet dj done for me beggining of last year.
The pain feels like it comes from where the bicep tendon joins the shoulder.
Treatment was compression and ice plus clicking the neck and back.I never let the chiro know that i was on juice.
The cycle consisted of 400mg deca split a week and sust250 every third day, front loaded with Dbol at 40mg for first 4 weeks. The cycle was run for 12 weeks. This pain was aggravated when i laid with my head up against my headboard while watching tv.It has eased up quite alot since my cycle ended 4 weeks ago.

My opinion would be a delay in tendon strengthening compared to muscle strength, resulting in repetitive strain of the tendon. Basically a sort of tendonitis caused by excess tension and loading of the tendon. As the tendon is strengthened over time the pain will ease. Keep inflammation down by using ice and ensure that there isnt any extra damage to the tendon, a chiro would be more effective now, during the cycle they would have been fighting a losing battle. Some sort of negative set would be effective in assisting with tendon strengthening too
