To subdue another tribe, you must strike it once and for all. Total war, total subjugation to the paramount king and total destruction to anyone who raises even a whisper against him! Never leave an enemy behind or it will rise again to fly at your throat! There's no other way!

Unless someone is in single digit body fat figures then IMO its wasted time, IMO you will get better results quicker from barbell complexes, kettlebell complexes and prowler work. Fat is torched, metabolism raised for 24-48hrs after and it's a lot more fun than treadmill work. Just my 2 cents worth anyway...

DJ wrote: and your body will be forced into over training quite quickly...,fasted steady state cardio is to burn calories and not over extend the body as weight training is intense enough, combined with maintaince calories whilst dieting you dont shock the CNS and cause over training and other unwanted effects, HIIT cardio and the things you have listed have their place but at the end of the day if thats the only training u are doing then u are good to go,most guys do high intensity weight training and to do high intensity cardio on lowered calories is gonna cause problems... so each to their own DC EVO,but the guys i help for shows,do steady state heart rate 130-140bpm for 20-45 mins per session depending and they get into good shape
i know that Hany Rambod, one of the best trainers in the world uses steady state cardio for longer periods somtimes 2x45mins sessions a day to get his clients into shape...each to their own
I do agree with you DJ on steady state if you're prepping for a show, whilst on low cal diets then HIIT and complexes etc are not for you, CNS will be screwed... but the amount of "wannabee" body builders out there who are doing 45 mins steady state cardio and are not prepping for a show, sitting at anything between 12 & 30% bf is IMO just a waste of time.
I personally use complexes 3 mornings a week for 15 mins - very light weight (empty bar) and by the end of 3 complexes I've moved nearly 5000kgs of weight, yet because of the light weight my CNS is actually very fresh and pretty wired ready for my afternoon weight session finished off with some prowler  Having said that I'm about 15% bf and not prepping for a show
