I trained 05:00 for years and I've been training at 19:00 for about a year now.

In terms of size I was bigger when I trained at 05:00 but in terms of pure energy and enjoying my training 19:00 is the best.

My theory is if you train at 05:00 you have the whole day to feed your body to recover hence my bigger size.

If you train at 19:00 you've had the whole day to "set-up" your body for training with nutrition and so on.

The ultimate ideal is to train at about 11:00

Testosterone is higher in the morning, just get on a bike an cycle hard for 5 minutes, you will be ready for the session :)

I agree with vega5 on that one ,i also when i was studying trained at 5am every morning, but what i did was i would eat a meal at 2am and it would contain something like chicken and rice so when i started my training session after a few minutes on the bike i was keen to train while everybody looked like they had just woken up.

You guys might think I'm crazy, but i know how to achieve greatness.

ja test is higher but after 3-4days i can really feel my body taking a shock, wouldnt that raise my cortisol levels?and what time should i eat my preworkout meal?

pm training you train, eat and go to sleep after, wouldnt that also make a difference?

I'm a 5AM man myself. Used to be a 6/7Pm kinda guy. I'll never go back to evening training again. My job is very stressful and I have to travel far to get there just to take shit from people (pretty much like every other job then). I'm worn out by the time I have to hit gym after work.

The big difference for me is that in the morning I am fresh and can concentrate on lifting and lifting only. I don't worry about this and that shit that happened during my day. For me that makes the biggest difference.

Also I've found that most gyms while still busy aren't as packed in the AM when compared to the evening.

The downside of this is that I can't keep awake light at night. Wake up at 4.30 +training at 5 = lights out 9PM. I must confess that sometimes I struggle to see 20.30... You know how many ppl go see new movie releases Friday night? I can forget about it. I've slept through many a Friday night movie.
