Cardio vs leg mass was created by m0lt3n
Some help please. My legs are lagging and I am working on it, squating as hard as I can and think I am gonna split my hamstrings also now. Training legs monday.

Question, I am cutting, doing low intensity cardio after some gym sessions, but on the bike or fitness flyer my legs will burn. This is unwanted right? Does it mean I am just not fit yet? Should I keep at it? It will burn at 15 minutes, working through it it is manageable. Cardio session is half an hour. Gym an hour tops. Heart rate 125

Not on keto. I was meaning to find more out on HIIT. low intensity takes to long. Would you suggest the same interval as this I just googled?

"Here is a typical HIIT Cardio session for me:
I warm up for 5 minutes, by either brisk walking or light jogging.

I go all-out as fast as I can for 20-30 seconds, then slow it down to a light jog type of speed for about 1 minute.

Then repeat.

Then I cool down for about 2 minutes near the end"

Lot of different time intervals on the internet.
Also, wont that be overtraining your legs, basically all cardio exercises hit your legs. This is hard-ish training on your legs 4 times a week then. Or should I just man-up? B)

Two thumbs up to what dj said. Agreed. Dont forget ur extensions and curls and stiff legged deadlifts. Lunges at the end of ur workout is awesome too for the stretch.

Looks good, you can get away with even 3 times a week. I find this works well for me

i dont know if this will help ... i read an article in a flex magazine a while back ... Lee priest had his own column and so guy asked the same question about lagging legs... lee told him to totallu shock his legs from his normal routine and attempt something extreme like 100 rep leg press with a light weight. I believe things like this may work as ur body wont expect it and thats the whole point. If u havent made alterations to ur leg work out ur body may be in homeostasis. Change it up and i agree as well with walking lunges they are a winner.

Yes that can work, that is the same example DJ gave in lagging lat thread. It is the same with anything, I find if I am not putting on weight and my body has hit a plateau I can starve myself for a day and then go back to my normal eating habits and I will start to put on weight. The same is true about taking a week off gym or negative failure on certain sets, etc.

The trick is to get to know your body, which is very difficult. But when you listen carefully that is how you break past certain barriers you might have hit.

cant agree more with pump..
After my first comp i exploded due to the fact that i was on a no carb diet and i started eatting clean carbs again... my trainer says ... its all about the gear and what u ate through out the day ... a modification in ur diet may be the single key to growing again. Also the form u undetake when u train ur legs. Modifications in sets , speed , contraction , rest periods and other factors may play a part. Full haunch squats grow the upper regions of ur quads where normal full squats wont...
