Twice a day gyming

I'm working out twice a day, morning cardio (30-40min) and in the evenings weights.
Is that ok or would it be better to do weights in the morning?
Also i have a banana before my cardio in the morning just so i don't workout on a empty stomach. I've read on some sites don't eat in the morning and other sites say it's no good to gym in the morning on a empty stomach. Which is it and is a banana ok?
Thanks
Alex

What is your goal???
Sounds like you trying to lose weight???
There shouldnt be a need to go twice a day.
How many days a week do you train??
Give it a shot, you're only TESTing it...

Listen i'm not overweight by a long shot. But it's that last bit that hard to get off. So thats why i'm thinking of doing cardio during the morning.
Just afraid that with all i'm eating to put on some good weight i don't burn it off during my weights session and thats why i can't shake off the last bit of fat.
I don't over do it in the mornings with cardio.

Otherwise gym twice a day aint too bad if its just cardio in the AM. Or you could shift your cardio to after your weights
Um, but im scared of needles...

how does cardio after weights in the pm work?wont one miss out on that golden period when nutrition is extra important? or do u drink your shake before the cardio? i guess its low intensity cardio then also? an extra half an hour low intensity after 50mins of weight training yay or nay?

Personally I would always suggest taking in some BCAA when doing cardio. It just adds that extra buffer to protect the hard earned musclem0lt3n wrote: so doing an extra 30mins of cardio, low intensity, will allow u to basically simmer in that golden period?is this still applicable when u are very hungry after your weights?

DJ wrote: no as u will be depleting glycogen stores even more....so when u stop your cardio and have your shake u will still have that golden window.
So, you saying you should have a shake after weights, and THEN do cardio???

so could you do 30min light cardio (eg. swim) after a hectic 45min weight section if you train first thing in the morn? will the cardio not interfear with the muscle building process or will it only deplete glycogen levels and so loose fat? if you have a recovery shake straight after, with 30g protein and 16g carbs (Cytosport Muscle Milk) will the carbs in the shake not defeite the purpose of the cardio or would a pure whey shake be better?
sorry for all the questions.

In my humble opinion that's why our local guys don't get their legs as shredded as even the top amateurs in Europe and the US because they don't go that extra mile.

im not looking to loose weight but as im trying to put on muscle iv increases my calories but at the same time i dont want to put on any fat so wondering if the cardio would let me still build the muscle and ensure that the unused calories dont get stored as fat.
