As most will know, It's all about going MAX :roll :roll

I Train alone, so how would you guys suggest going about this??

The last thing I want is to fail with major :weights smacking me in the head :sleeping :sleeping

Gooday Rookie
How long have you been training for?
Its all about training to failure!!
Using machines in many cases will help you, as your "spotter"!

Give it a shot, you're only TESTing it...

Been training religiously for a year now.

Before that it was more stuffing around than actual training

training to failure is key! machines can help but try avoid them and to use free weights as much as possible. when doing the heavy presses (bench, shoulderpress etc) use the smith machine. good luck! B)

Google MAX OT, read it and come back with questions.

I have been training MAX OT way for 7 years now, love it! No machines bro, I train on my own and no problems. Just ease into it and train the way they say.

NO MACHINES full stop! Only compound movements, 2 min rest in between ALL sets including your 5 warm up sets...

keep your work sets to between 4 and 6 reps, I promise you that you will push heavier simply by training this way.

I would suggest everyone try MAX OT, there is a pdf on the Net and on this site.

Read it, try it come back with questions.

I really dont see a problem hahaha. My opinion is i like to swap things around. i don 3 months max ot. then do something totally different. My body is very fast hitting plateau. But hit the 6 month and see how you feel, every body reacts different hey

I was thinking that coz I am on a cycle I should try and hit every muscle and every part of that muscle, like doing shoulders for example, I would do the following: front raises, bent over raises, military press, side raises, dumbel press and then hit traps as well ... I worry that I wont get the best out of my cycle???

Don't over train.

If you always put limit on everything you do, physical or anything else. It will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.

Bump on milk, be careful not to over train. Just keep to your diet and cycle. And sleep is major aswell.

How is your cycle looking mind giving us a breakdown

I think I might be over training, I feel guilty if I leave something out like front raises.
how would this be?
compound exercise : warmup and do 4 sets of 6-8 reps
Sup.. exercise : 2 sets of 6-8 reps

When i do shoulders, i start on shoulder press i do 3 sets warmup 15 reps concentration. then do my 3 sets heavy 8-4 reps.

then behind head presses ( dont know the correct name ) 4 sets slight increase in weight reps 15, 12, 10, 8

front raises supersetted with side raises. 4 sets. rep range 10-6

Hi intense set with cables. involving side raises, front raises but in various angles. 4 sets

Then inverted dumbbell press 3 sets heavy.

Well most will say its wrong what i am doing but it shocked my body and my shoulders got major size. If something is working why change it. Thats my opinion. so you looking on an average of total 21 sets. i work my workouts out in a funny way

21 sets for shoulders, not a good idea at all...you are overtraining!!

Remember, when training chest (compound movements) you also engage shoulders, tri's etc etc.

Read MAX OT bro...you wont look back

what I would suggest is MAX OT for 8 weeks, then high rep training for 4 weeks, rest one week and bang it all over again...

all the best bud
