Slow results - Am I doing something wrong? was created by Nano
Hi everyone,
Shoo, been a while since I was here. See the design has changed, looks nice. Anyways onto my problem. I dont seem to be seeing any good results. I can feel I have lost fat on my legs, and can see a small difference in my upper body and legs...but nothing on my stomach? More details are below:
Im 1.78m, weigh 84kgs and want to lose about 5/6kgs. Most of my extra weight is sitting around my stomach area, got the old fashioned tyre tube sitting around my waist I want to get rid of.
I workout 6 times a week, sometimes its only 4 due to other commitments...but generally its 6 times a week. A mixture of gym and cardio so I dont waste away muscle when trying to lose weight. I eat 5 meals a day, have a balanced diet and eat smallish meals so I dont get over-full (I do cheat every now and again...but who doesnt? ). Normal meals of breakfast, lunch, dinner with diet fuel meal replacement between breakfast and lunch, and another between lunch and dinner.
Gym routine (lift lightish-moderate weights):
Mon: Chest, Shoulders, Abs, Forearm
Tues: Cardio - 40min
Wed: Back, Triceps, Abs
Thurs: Cardio - 40min
Fri: Legs, Biceps, Forearms, Abs
Sun: Cardio - 40min
So like I said...I can see results...but nothing ground breaking. Been on the above routine for about 4 weeks. Can see a small difference in my upper body (more shoulders and back) and have lost fat in my legs but see no difference in my stomach tyre. Do I need to change something or am I being impatient and just need to wait a little longer to see results?

ok well u are doing things the wrong way,ur diet is 80% of the work. u look like u are under eating completely, and the fact that u didnt give 1 single gram weight for the food u are eating shoes that u dont know your calorie intake. also your weights sessions need to be heavy and hard inorder to keep your muscle, the more muscle u have, the more fat u burn... which engine uses more petrol a 1.2l of a 3.0l the size of the engine is the muscle mass your hold.
u need to change your diet completely and by the sounds of things u are over training (abdominal fat) and u are holding estrogen related body fat( legs and love handles) and u seem to be insulin sensetive... u can drop me a mail for a custom diet but i do charge for them but u need alot of work.

Maybe need to look at shocking the system and go Keto... DJ can work out a diet at a small cost if you like... I think that would probabbly be the best way forward, go Keto, get to where you want to be then change the diet and explain to him what you like to eat, etc and he can help find a way to place those meals in without causing you to rebound again.

Thanks for the replies. Hmmm, I think maybe it is my diet. Rule of thumb for weight loss is that its more diet that does the trick. Obviously you need to exercise and have your diet correct, but its not a 50/50 split.
Previously I was counting calories, and figured out my base and how many calories I needed to consume a day to lose weight. So I got used to spotting what I could eat and how much at one point that I got used to it all etc.
But recon I need to work out my calorie consumption again. Dont think my diet is bad...its just not optimised I guess, cos the only place Im not seeing results is my stomach area.
How much do you charge for a diet plan, can you PM me?
Also...looked at the Keto diet. Still reading on it...but seems like quite a different approach. Need to see if there are any draw-backs to it.
