To cardio or not to cardio was created by Gearedup
so on my "bulk" section now, diet is high protein /mod carbs mod fats approximately 3200-3500 cal a day (i am 100kg odd now)

i believe i am just on the acceptable B/F to be "bulking" , would it be advisable to add 3 x HITT cardio sessions a week to keep b/f in check , or just throw them in if i find i am putting on too much b/f ?

Cardio should be in your training program bulking or cutting, even if you have to eat more cause you are burning a bit more calories, your heart is also a muscle that needs training... :)

adjust your macronutrients or train harder if u start putting on to much fat,u can do the cardio but its gonna get u no where unless u are eating exactly maintaince calories(which is not a bulk then) and getting stronger and stronger each week whilst still doing cardio...also with long ester tests with the estrogen conversion u are going to put on some fat and water...u gotta unless your diet is 100% perfect and you know your body to a t u are gonna put on fat no matter how much cardio u do...

Agree if you eat above maintenance levels you will gain but for me the Cardio is much more for Heart health and I have also heard on more than one occasion that you recover better after cycle if you included some cardio on cycle.

A "friend" I know woke up in ICU after he collapsed at home. They determined that he gained to much weight (several cycles) and never did cardio to make his heart fit enough to manage with all the extra weight.

The only advice he ever gives me....do cardio ON and OFF CYCLE.

agreed cardio is essential but my prob is i tend to lose muscle rapidly when doing cardio. I use amino's before and after cardio, have a high ptotein moderate carb meal afterwards (45min) and still I lose mass so fast...?

Not being sarcastic here...but are you sure its muscle or maybe some unwanted water or fat ?

Personally I feel if your doing cardio at right intensity and especially while on cycle you wont loose muscle that quick. Or dont you agree ?

Nope it is muscle, especially my arms, legs and calves suffer the most from cardio. I take 15g of BCAA's a day and my diet is solid!

Should of mentioned this is off cycle...Have not done any intense cardio while on cycle so wont be able to say what the effect would be but certainly much better at muscle sparing.

I'm being very bias here since I really and I mean really f'ing HATE cardio! lol :P
but why not just increase you're intensity with weights to keep body fat in check?

Train harder than the guy next to you and one day, no-one will be able to touch you

Personally I dont think thats enough and Ive always believed and had best results when HR kept at about 65%.. High intensity Weights that is not easy (or possible) to maintain this "fatburning" zone.

Maybe if guys are chemically assisted its easier to shed fat...but me..LOOONG duration ...moderate intensity is the only way Ive ever had success.
