What is too much? was created by BushRat
Morning Gents,

Its been awhile. Question: What is too much training?

Current training schedule:

Daily

- 04:00 Cardio HIIT for 30-45min
- 2 x 30 min Sledgehammer sessions. I'm in construction, so I leave the office, grab a sledgehammer and smash concrete for 30 min mid morning and mid afternoon. Awesome workout.
- 17:30: 30-45min weight training.

I usually take off 1 or 2 days a week.

Am I over doing it?

Thanks

Reduce your cardio a bit. to two or three times a week. and decrease time to 10-20min. drop a sledgehammer session. if possible. and train 4_5 days a week. with training more is not more. some guys even have a three to four day split of just 1 hour training a day. and see great results. so decrease your training for more results

Morning Kuifie,

Thanks for the reply. This is gonna sound weird, but when I'm not doing cardio, I start feeling lazy. If I'm not training at least 2-3 times a day I start getting irritated.

Thx

I believe the endorphine rush you get as well as increased blood circulation is what helps tou feel better. But if your concerned with gains and gains only. you need to decrease the intensity. but if gains doesnt matter to you. you can do whatever helps you feel good bud. But for optimal gains. in my experience. 4 sessions a week. 1 hour 15 min training a day. Minimal training. and a shit load of food..and one can grow like a weed even natural

This is purely for weight management and lean muscle purposes. Lean body is the goal, or leaner I should say. I just don't want to fade halfway to the goal. I'm already on n hypo-caloric diet. 2500 calories a day. Been on this for 8 weeks now.

Your info is appreciated buds.

Thx

Consider what works for you. Are you still energetic enough after the sledgehammer thing to put in quality weights time? getting enough sleep - the experts here say that's critical for endogenous hormone production. Are you gaining or losing weight? It's been shown that training is 'sport-specific' - so your sledgehammer workouts will essentially make you good at doing that only.

mack,

Not gaining or losing weight at this stage. But I am losing cm. 3 days of my full training is hectic, so I usually take my 4th day as a rest day. If I do not, my sessions become very lazy. My weight sessions are good after the sledgehammer sessions.

To be honest the sledgehammer sessions are making my shoulders look pretty cool. Bumps appearing that have never been there before.

Have a good one.

Bro the honest truth is everyone's bodies are different. I'm surprised how much you can train.. Do you eat allot? I personally think your over doing it.. Maybe take a break for a good couple days.. pig out.. then go back to your routine

Hiya 00pump,

I eat 6 times a day. But I try and keep it as clean as humanly possible. And its all small portions. I do find that closer to the end of the week, my wheels start falling off. And then I need to rest, but then guilt kicks in and off to training I go. Had an off day yesterday, because of a work related 14 hour road trip. But still my body is telling me to rest today. So I'm going to have a relaxed spin this afternoon for about an hour. Just to get the blood flowing. And then take on the weights again tomorrow. Pig Out! I had a piece of fried chicken yesterday and almost puked! LOL!

Have a good one boys!
