to each his own....if your arms are not responding now, then try it...i found for a long time my arms would not grow, i trained them with the most intensity and volume but they would not even be sore the next day...then i switched to "as heavy as i can go" and then arms responded...but now joints are stuffed, cant do skull crushs with comfort any more! You gonna have to see what works best for you!

I too have this problem.only biceps though, my tri's grows @ a normal rate I'd assume but bi's are stubborn, I have to train it twice a week being natty and all so in my opinion I'd say do it
I space mine out though like Mondays I do legs and bi's and I'd do them Friday again just to allow for some recovery. I'd probably still do it when I start my first cycle
Hope this helps

Have u tried doing the exercises with slower tempo? 3 second negatives and 1 second positives with a pause at the bottom and top? When doing biceps when your arm is in the lowest position flex the tricep, that will make sure u take all tension off the bicep and means u are starting with a dead weight so u can't use momentum. When I say slow down the tempo : when doing biceps start with weight st the bottom with arms straight, flex tricep, curl up for 1 second, pause, then take 3 seconds to lower the weight to the bottom position, flex triceps again then repeat. If u can't do a 2-3 second negative then the weight is too heavy, if u are swinging to get the weights up then the weight is too heavy. Remember its called resistance training. If u aren't giving the muscle any resistance then u are not exactly stimulating the muscle are u now? Keep a little book and write down all your weights used for each set each week. Start by doing 3 exercises, 3 sets for each, and those are working sets not warm ups. Start by doing 8-10 reps, the first week do a weight light enough u can get 8 reps but heavy enough u can't do 10 reps. Then the following week u use the same weight and make sure u get 10 reps for each set and exercise, once u have hit 10 reps the following week u go up in weight with the same principle, u don't increase weight until u have gone from doing 8 reps to being able to complete 10 reps. It's slow but it will make sure the muscle gets stronger slowly with out putting to much strain on joints and tendons. For biceps start with something like seated incline dumbell curls, then seated incline hammer curls then preacher curls( make sure your arms are fully extended at the bottom of the motion and u flex your triceps each rep with the 3 second negative) Triceps do rope push downs whilst twisting your pinkys out at the bottom, then dumbell kick backs and then do skull crushers on an incline bench, about 35 degrees so only slight incline, make sure u lower the weight past the bench almost until it touches the floor and then extend up so that your tricep is in the full stretch position. By isolating the muscle with isolation exercises first means u won't be able to go to heavy doing barbell work st the end causing injury. Do this for 4-6 weeks and then report back and see how things have changed.

Awesome reply DJ

I really focused on flexing the triceps at the bottom of hammer curls today and slowing the movement down. That 'dead weight' feel with slow momentum pumped my arms up hard. It's always the slight tweaks and tips like this I feel makes the movement really worth the effort

The biggest enemy to "gains" is sacrificing form for heavier weights... consistently... there is a place for "cheats","negatives" and "assisted reps"... But those are like cheat meals... not your staple diet...
