Any of you guys experience elbow pain with skull crushers? What do you guys do for it? Last few months i have been going as heavy as i possibly can, cheating a little too....and now my elbows hurt when doing skull crushers. What exercises can be done for tri's? I normally hit skull crushers, close grip bench, overhead tri press, kickbacks and dips.(train at home so no cables)

Skull crushers are the worst! I once had such bad inflammation that it formed this ball thing right next to the elbow. It was the size of a nut.

Yeah I also used to be sensitive to some tricep exercises. I suspect the movement more than the exercise /weight itself. Try substituting with cable extentions and dumbbell kick backs. I know it's not the same and shifts tricep head emphasis, but you don't want to injure your body.

I don't go past 90 degrees with skull crushers anymore. I do 'diamonds' - press-ups with index fingers and thumbs touching. Seems easier on the elbows and gives a good triceps burn

Sounds like tendonitis to me. It's fucking sore to get sorted out and the only way to do it is via acupuncture and rest with loads of icing of the joints. I bought a collagen gel once with little beads in it that u rub into that area to help with muscle repair
But let me tell u, to have the acupuncture into the tendon to increase blood flow to that area is extremely painful, i have had broken bones, been in car accidents, been for lipo and loads of surgeries, nothing comes close to that pain. But after, 3 weeks of 2-3x a week needle sessions I have not had a days problem since, and mine was so bad I couldn't even do a reverse push down with 1 plate it was so sore.

Is it a burning sensation running down your arm like hot lava? I get that but just with my left arm.
I tried to explain it to this guy i train with but he was clueless. He said "suppose to feel the burn". ::: rolls eyes :::
