Your form when exercising is incorrect. Your elbow placing and shoulder placing plays a critical role. Make sure they are identical aligned, by doing this you will prevent putting the left muscle under more strain than the right side.

If you want to balance this out, you will have to drop your elbow, or tuck your shoulder in closer to your body. The less developed muscle needs more strain than the other side.

Try and get a spotter to assist with this one, or a qualified personal trainer for a session or 2. It takes time, but can be sorted out.

Boet I had the same problem. My right pec was and still is to a slight extend under developed. I found that dropping my elbow further on that side during incline dumbell press helped.

I also do some extra work on that side by itself with light weights and perfect form to further strain that specific side.

Just keep in mind that each different excercise works the pec differently so don't add in extra flyes on one side if you have been doing a pressing movement all along. Keep it the same!

I usually do only incline with dumbells and flat bench with barbell as I feel it has more efftct on my chest.. But will definatly swop dumbell and barbell every 2nd week for flat.. And will drop on the right side for both..

I would train more with dumbbells than with a barbell. I used to struggle with benching as my form was incorrect and build chest better to the one side. Dumbbells changed that for me. :)

SUCCESS TRAINS!!!

FAILURE COMPLAINS!!!

REMEMBER... ;)
