Looking for a trainer

Hi all!

Just want to mention before I get into my post that I am in quite an anxious / frustrated space and I am really not sure what to do anymore. Also, this is not any kind of insult to personal trainers, it is only my experience with the ones I have used in the past.

I have never been able to get my training / diet combination right to truly reach my goals. Which is, the most common one, to be ripped by the summer time.

A little background, I have been training for 3 years religiously but have been through a number of trainers and programs that never were able to get me to my goal weight and bodyfat. I am not really looking for a trainer who comes to the gym with you and works your ass off. I am more looking for someone who is really willing to mentor / coach me and to help me reach my goals.

The personal trainers I have used in the past all seem so keen in the beginning, but it fades away towards the end of the program. Even if I offer to 'renew my contract' with them, they still seem so disinterested. Plus 2 have just taken my money never to be seen or heard from again.

I have been thinking about this topic for a while now and I can't understand why the personal trainers I have used are never really that committed... why wouldn't someone want a good reference? If personal training is truly your passion, then surely you would want to help someone reach their goals?

So my question is really, does anyone know of someone who fits the above profile that can help me?

Although it is always nice to have help from an outside source, in the bitter end only you can help yourself. You should be researching the different exercises, modifying your diet in accordance to what your body is telling you etc.

Figuring this out well benefit you more in the long run than paying a trainer.

That being said there is some guys on the forum that may be able to help you out.

My trainer is brilliant and highly qualified. Costs a couple of grand monthly, but results are worth every cent. Been training with him +- 3years 5 days a week.

Although 100% dedication and commitment comes from yourself. Some clients look the same after a couple of months....... who knows wtf they eat/drink after training/daily/weekends.....

Then they turn to steroids, (the quick fix) and still look like shit after a few months. You are what you eat.

If admin allows, I would like to volunteer my services. We can go very far if you are dedicated and you seem to be. I truly believe I can help you!

Op hierdie oomblik is DJ die enigste mens vir wie Admin jou email address sal stuur. Ek het ook baie respek vir DJ. Ek dink wel ek sal jou ook baie goed kan help op n privaat basis. Ek weet DJ is baie besig en het reeds baie kliente.

Om jou vraag te antwoord: Pretty much enige iets wat hierdie site oor gan. Diet, training, steroids, etc..

You really don't need a trainer to get "ripped" or look good. You can basically get everything from this site for free, but if you are going to compete then it's a different story. It sounds like your are lacking determination and discipline as well, trainers can't help much with that.

Dedication is really not the problem here, it is more about not being on the right path. The best path for the effort I put in. I want it to count.

Just because the rules do not state the exact crime you are doing, if you transgress the rule by going against the reason for the rule (in this case sharing of personal contact information) you are equally guilty! You have a three day ban starting now.
