Its the first time i ever heard about a sissy squat. So decided to try them out today, all i can say is- bliksim my quads have never felt so completely exhausted and numb before. I was expecting it would be alot like normal leg extensions but it was so much better.
So to those like me who dont know what sissy squats are, try them out- www.muscleandfitness.com/training/legs/k...some-new-quad-growth

But, glad you felt the exercise, just be careful!

I hear you, the nice thing is though that you can do these with your own body weight, and the amount that you bend the knees are up to you and how flexible you are.

This exercise is notorious for knee blow outs though. I would rather stick to close stance front squats to work the tear drop as well as the outer quad with a little toe adjustment. But will definitely give these a shot when I can walk again after my legs session on Wednesday hahaha
To you it may look like I just did a push-up... But in fact, I just bench-pressed the world.

Ha ha awesome. I have the same issue with my quads.
I did front squats for the first time today aswell. They work very well. My only issue for now is how to properly hold the bar up. I used both the traditional weightlifting grip with 3fingers under the bar elbows pointed forward and the cross over on the shoulders, i found both these very uncomfortable. The first stretched the wrist too much and the second raped my shoulders (even with only 80kg).
So ya any tips?

Na kidding, you could put the bar tampon on? I also hadn't done them in ages and tried two weeks ago and forgot how uncomfortable they can be. I think you just start getting used to where it sits to be honest. And I do them on the smith which probably helps.
