Hey Guys,

I've been incorporating weighted dips into my workout for the past month or two. When I started, I used dumbbells between my legs to add weight but as I got used to the movement, the weight I can handle has been increasing to on par with my other lifts. Its gotten to the point that the dumbbells are to large. I've tried connecting the hanging leg raise straps together and putting that around my waist and then over a dumbbell but that doesn't work to well either.

What do you guys use to load weights when doing weighted dips? I see BB.com has some dip belts on their site but not sure of the load capacity or durability. I'm thinking of getting some chain, somehow affixing it to my lifting belt and loading weights that way. Only problem is how to securely fit the chain to the belt. Don't wanna break the "buckle" of the belt. Any ideas?

I use to use my kidney belt and a chain at previous gym, can easily load 3 - 5 ; 20kg plates. I had belt loosely around waist and turned it so buckle is on my side

Current gym got a dip belt, not sure about capacity, but can hook DB on it

Thanks, I'll give it a shot before forking out for a dip belt. What length & guage chain did you use?

Step 1 get wiring like in the pic below

Step 2 get a clamp like in the pic below

Step 3 get a rock climbing clip thingy

Put the wire into a loop.
Get the clamp and clamp high up so the wire looks like the number 8. Clamp the 2 ends to the other side of the wire so everything is tight. Clip on the rock climber thing to the small loop.
Just put the dumbell in the big loop. Connect the rock climber thingy to your weight belt.

No lets not deadlift as I need a double hip replacement haha

Thanks Snok1986. The first pic doesn't wanna load so having trouble figuring out what the solution looks like. Do you mind posting up another pic?
