Hi guys,
I recently started doing some boxing training at home EOD and weight training EOD. This includes a run first thing on then "boxing" days with a session on the heavy bag and focus pads + skipping and sit ups and pushups.
Firstly, i'm feeling awesome since i started this types of training.
Secondly, i would like to take a bit of a sabbatical from AAS for a couple of month as i feel my body needs a rest.
I would like to focus on fitness and conditioning. Currently i'm using Heat and i've lost about 3kg over the last two weeks. I'm currently hovering around 100kg and my goal is sub 91kg just because that the heavyweight section in amateur boxing.
I'm not asking any specific questions, but i'm asking that anybody with any recommendations and tips for this type of training to please give some advice.

I use to fight light heavy. And the biggest thing to focuse on is foot placement and movement. Always try and keep your weight on your font foot and move into position for your next punch.
It's all about quick explosive punches with your back and hips ,snapping the puches through the target from a balanced stance
I also still have a bag at home but don't have the discipline to use it. I don't think there are many better forms of cardio and ways to condition.
Like your doing jogging and getting your cardio up is the best way to get your bag work better.
Enjoy Bro
Wish I could pull my thumb out and get back into it

Another thing they always use to make me do was run up and down stairs at a stadium. That shit kills but works.

I've been following boxing all my life but my parents never wanted me to box. I take my hat off to anybody that can be comeptitive for three rounds as it the most intense thing i've done.

Ye I competed nationally until I was 21 but now 10 years later wouldnt have the gas to last a round:-)
Plus now I'm to muscle bound and old to be quick enough to compete as a heavy weight .

I recently decided to consult a boxing coach and og my greatness. Whatever I thought I knew about boxing was crap. It is very technical and now that I'm doing it the "right" way, all my punching power has gone to shit. I have been told however that it will come as time goes on.
He tuned I must forget about punching for now and only concentrate on my foot movement, which was a big disappointment actually.

Next he'll move you on to straight punches and jabs only... It could be months even a year before he lets you do a hook or upper cut but you need to master feet and straight punching first
Enjoy
