If you are not growing ur diet is to blame... Eat and eat some more!

Put that mass builders away! Man up and eat!

Three days a week wont result in over training.
You should be fine without a break

You've barely even scratched the surface.
At x3 per week and a newbie, I wouldn't recommend you take a break for at the very very minimum 3 years.

Agree with koe, 5days a week with sundays off and a rest day on wednesdays if need be.

Honestly 3days a week is barely anything, and just gives you more off days to over/undereat and cheat. Get your routine and clean caloric surplus down and you will grow like a weed :)

Changing your routine is more important for you than taking a break. Maybe try a different split or approach the muscles differently.

My last post:

IMO you MUST take breaks, but not in your case. 7 months at 3 days a week is truly the absolute minimum.
You should try going balls to the wall, eat the right foods (and LOTS of it) and train like you life depends on it (5-6 days a week). Do that for a while, say 12 weeks, and then take 1 week off.

Just my 2c

I haven't seen what this guys workout looks like, but 3 days a week, doesn't necessarily mean he's under training.

3 day total body sessions per week, will normally provide more growth and better results than 5 days per week, especially in an untrained individual. The key here is intensity and most importantly nutrition!

Whether he's doing the above though is another story altogether?! :)

Too true!
I get really bumbed when I see how some guys train. You make the effort to go to gym, so make it count!

Some guys fly through like 10 reps with the last rep as easy as the first. My last 2-3 reps is normally AGONY! When I say agony, the good kind obviously. Feeling the muscle really working and the burn so bad you want to scream.

I sometimes gauge how successful my workout was by trying to do a simple bodyweight movement right at the end. Try doing a lunge after your leg workout, you should nearly collapse. Try doing a pushup after chest or tricep, you should nearly collapse.
