Hey Lads
Ok so my gym's d/b's only go up to 60kgs so I need to make a plan for incline, I need to go up in weight but I train on my own so incline bench press is out and I don't like the smith machine (I find the motion unnatural)
The other gym close to me has those counter weight press machines for incline and flat(the ones that you put plates on) I no I won't use my stabilizing muscles on them but surly going up in weight is more important? Should I take a contract out there so that I can go heavier or are those machines shit?
Thanks guys

I used the flat and incline bench machines during my past cycle. Because i have a old shoulder injury and i train alone i did not want to use dumbells and make irratic movements getting the weights up. Worked ok but i found the incline of the incline bench machine weird. Felt like it had more of a impact on my shoulders than my chest.

Ian, I think I know which machine you are talking about. They are good I would use them. You can make steady progress that way and hopefully keep yourself injury free. You are probably doing a lot of other free weight movements anyway so replacing one isn't going to make a huge impact if any at all. The alternative would be to pre-exhaust before going onto incline DB press.

Ye I think I'll give them a go. Like you said I do d/b shoulder press and quite allot of d/b exercises and I can load those counter weight machines with not having a training partner and at least each side is still independent(not on a pulley) Chests the only one that's a cow without a buddy, specially when you run out of d/b's
Thanks guys

Hey Brother; You said that your d.b's are only 60kg's isn't that 130lb's You must be superman, because that is a heavy weight.Back in the day,Arnold used 60 to 80ty's and developed the best chest Ever!!!! I have benched 530,but there are guy's that can bench 315 and have way better chest development. My friend do strict,no cheating slow rep's and then say 130lb's dumb bell's are not heavy enough. All the best john
