What are some of the exercise that can be done with it and what muscle groups can you target? I've heard they work wonders for definition but never really bought in to the whole swinging a weight that looks like an old kettle around
any thoughts? oh and can it be used as a sort of make shift medicine ball for doing crunches on those big ab balls?

Get her a trainer, they do kettle bells at flux up near gateway and apprently they have classes at dhs school gym...don't let her try and wing it herself, people think its a swing from the back, and arch and bend their back, you need to use your HIPS and your back must be straight... If she goes to the flux classes its R50 for a drop in lesson.well worth it.
100% agree with DJ
Flux do it best in Durban. Their style is called Fluid, the other form is Hardstyle, not sure who in Durbs is qualified to teach Hardstyle though. Check the RKC website for that.
The classes at Flux are cool, but I much preferred the smaller (5 on 1) group private style sessions for proper kettlebell training. Sean who owns the place is a great guy as well. For the smaller private sessions I'd recommend Sean or Lil.

I see a lot of guys say that they don't train during the fast, I find that a bit strange as there are plenty muslim arab and egyptian bodybuilders that still train and compete even during the fasting months, they just eat more before the sun rises in the morning and then at night they feed... This is probably the only time I would suggest intermittent fasting.don't let ramadaan almost be an excuse,u can make your ways around it and train and eat in the later part of the day...

DJ wrote: Sean, lill, jenna and natalie are all excellent trainers, sean is incredibly clued up and takes a mean class, jenna works towards your goals, for me I do kettle bells for a cardio and lower back strengthening thing and I also find that the stretching and warm up at the start of each session has really helped with improving the depth of my squat and building up my stamina, I have just gotten onto the clean and jerk and its not as easy as I thought but man is it a killer when u ger to 20kg kettle bells... But aqueel, join up with a class, u will enjoy it,if not go 1 on 1.

Yeah gonna definitely give it a go. Nah I could never use ramadaan as an excuse for a break hey. In that 1 month u could lose so much youve worked so hard for. I'm gonna be training late evenings as well as 30 mins or so fasted cardio just before we break fast. And of course my eating is going to be spot on
