An example, one of my guys this weekend at 88kg raw and natural hit
170kg squat
201kg deadlift
130kg bench
Another one of my guys at 91kg raw and natural
170kg squat
160kg bench
260kg deadlift
These guys are "average" guys with solid training.

hahaha sorry RVP
Also, as well as being raw and natural - those guys only use creatine and BCAA/Leucine. No preworkout stuff and none of the other crap supplements out there. They just eat well.

I know what you mean bro. Last year I was training at a diff gym and the times I used to go, i used to be the only one there. So one day, i said fucking, bring on the 40's nobody's gonna laugh if i cant make it. Ended up doing 2 sets of 12 reps each. Now Im training all alone at VA and im shit skrik of grabbing those 40's and acting like "the man"
A spotting partner really does help

Just make sure that if a trainer or someone does spot you, that they don't touch the weight at all, unless it's the last rep and you're not going to make it. Too many trainers I see, are touching the weight or the client and then saying "all you" - no it's not all you.

broer. Id say that's not to bad compared to your weight. I managed to brake my record because i was forced to use heavier weights. I did the 70kg for 12 reps instead of 10. :woohoo:
Technically i should be able to press 75kgs now for 10 reps. and 85kgs for 6 reps and my weight is 89kg now. And if i compare that to what you press for your weight, id say the ratio is pretty much the same!

evo, what rep ranges do they use? you gonna make me wanna quit if i compare myself to those okes. I've been lifting for ten years and im not even close. But on the other hand, as i said, i wasn't really strong to start off with...always been a puny-skinnyfat-bastard. No sport in school, couch potato guy! i'm not proud :silly:

Like the other guys said, everybody's got their weakness, I bench more than I squat and I can't do pull-ups to save my life, haha!
Discipline is choosing what you want most over what you want now.

It may sound harsh but I say that as it's pretty much bang on
I only curl with 12.5kg -15kg db's. 3 sets of 8 once a week. That's it. That tells you nothing.

It may sound harsh but I say that as it's pretty much bang on. Views and goals maybe different, but focusing or "matter of interest" on what someone lifts, especially when it comes to curls, is just mental masturbation and ego. What someone curls tells you nothing about their physique, strength, goals or training

Buddy your whole stance is opinionated, its just the way you see it! The reason I wondered what someone else curls, lifts, benches ec is to try and get an idea if I am on par strenth wise! Seems to me your view is somewhat influenced by personal experience, but you can't shave everyone with the same blade! I only weigh 73kg, there really is no ego involved, if I had 50cm biceps maybe:p

Oh 100% I'm opinionated, but that's also what forums are, opinions
I can understand the main lifts 100%, like bench, military press, squat, deadlift and chins for example as there are plenty of indicators for power to weight ratio and strength formulas. But, there is no real strength indicator for you to gauge whether you are on par with your curls. That's just how it is. That's not opinion, that's fact

I rarely take my guys into high rep ranges. They're after pure strength so a lot of 1-3 rep ranges and generally 5-8 reps for assistance work. If we do volume work at the 10 rep range then it's normally at 60-70% of their max for 5 x 10, straight after their main lift.
These guys are also just your normal okes, train 4 times per week and that's it. It's the only exercise they do. Both been training for less than 5 years.
This is what I'm trying to get across though with my clients and anyone else, if you compare yourself to others and not focus on your own game then you could easily cry. These guys are still weak in comparison to some. There will always be people stronger than us in general. This is a lifetime pursuit and as long as you keep lifting and keep gradually increasing, then all is good. For me it's about beating my pb's and staying injury me, that's it. I've stopped comparing my lifts to other peoples.
