Flu and Training was created by MRfeathers
hey guys

i can feel the flu coming along, ive been murdering the vitamin C the past few days, holding thumbs that it'll get rid of this rubbish, at the moment it feels like just a head cold but i can feel it starting to move into my chest. i dont feel too bad, good enough to hit the gym (if i skip a day i feel terribly guilty) :) my question is do you think its a bad idea if i train tonight and the rest of the week? or should i give it a bit of a break? :(

kind regards

RVP

give it a break.

Mix a lil penut butter with the whey will help fill u a little more as well as help with some good fat intake.

Im sure its the 10-20% under eating to blame, think any diet that you use to lose some kgs will lead to some sort of off days in the bed in the long run.

Lots of nasty bugs going around in the cities at the moment. Definately something to watch out for!
About the flu. My doc always tells me that if I even think I have flu then I should stop training until I am sure I am back to normal. He says the problem is that if you train hard while you have flu there is a big possibility that you can get weakening of the heart and he assures me it is frowned upon.

Yeah bro I know it's really bad for your heart. My cousin who lives in New Zealand had to have a heart transplant. He was only 22. He had the bad case of the flu and was carrying tiles up and down stairs for a few days. Nearly killed him. Thank goodness he lives over there. If he was here he would've had no chance. I don't know how much a heart transplant costs here? But I'm guessing probably close to a million??
