ive been watching the hodge twins fitness channel. they said theyve been fasting for 18 hours and have had better results. surely the longer you fast the more time your body has to get hold of that stubborn fat?

MAX OUT your expectations of what is possible for you...you CAN handle the weight

Thanks for link. I read through it.
As a matter of fact, that's what I'm doing but mainly drinking protein shakes during the night. My maximum calarie intake is about 1700 calories - that's good, quality foods. Unless I start eating more junk foods to increase calories?
12 hours without food is long. Is there anyway of staying anabolic and preventing the muscles from sagging

@rvp01 Yes for sure but 16 hours is the most common and minimum fasting time recommended as used by the Leangains and Renegade methods, and is what people should start on. You can work your way up to a smaller eating window but starting on 18 hours isn't necessary and the hunger pains would be killer! I'm just doing an experiment out of curiosity and so far so good

1700cal is very low beemer. I suggest you start upping that dude...
Im fasting 16 hours and its day two and my lifts have improved - Just did back. Fasting 16 hours and eating the other 8 although Im done eating after like 6 hours. I also had a small carb only meal pre training with about 25g carbs. Dropped some water overnight and looking dry. I def recommend it for your fasting month...

i've been in this situation last year confused of how to train/eat through out ramadan, i'll share with u what worked for me
before iftar i have hot soup it makes my stomach calm and ready for the food and never felt sick after eating all of a sudden
, then i have 50,30,20 meal then my multi and fish oil.
i always train after taraweeh , i take a pre workout 30 mins before workout (1/2 the serving i usually have in normal) and intra workout BCAA and post a protein shake with tbsp of honey.
30 mins later i eat my sohor same ratio as iftar and just before fasting...the casein shake with peanuts and skimmed milk.
of course...loadsss of water through out the time im not fasting and i have to say...best quality gains i made so far with literally no additional bf
hope its useful

Hi guys
just read through this now. I plan to continue training in the morning as i currently am but cut it down to +/-45 mins then eat after my workout. Not yet sure what i'm going to eat, perhaps get a high carb shake, dates and will get in as much water as i can while training. What do you think?
