I've been told to go try Green Point, looks so nice. Gorilla just smash side laterals dude, try different reps vs sets.. Those things work damn well when you find a combo that works for you.

To you it may look like I just did a push-up... But in fact, I just bench-pressed the world.

Thanks chapel!

At the moment this is my workout...Trying to get my caps bigger:

1 set warmup military press, seated then 4 sets heavy, then 3 drop sets
6 sets seated DB Press
3 supersets of cable lateral raises with front raises
3 supersets of wide grip upright rows and rear delt flyes

Think thats fine?

Lets go!

Little bit overkill imo. Some may disagree. I would halve the db press sets. Cut out the cables and go to dbs as well.

The past two months or so my left shoulder has been giving me issues. Can't think of how I might have injured it but it gets kind of tender when doing most push exercises (Bench or any chest exercises, shoulders etc) and I mostly train with free weights. I also don't do shoulders with barbell (behind the neck thing), I sit with my back straight on the shoulder seat thing and push dumbells. I struggle to do side and front raises with my left shoulder. I don't know what the hell is going on, but some days it's tender/sore (after chest and shoulder day), a few days later it feels quite normal.

I freakin hate it and I'm too scared to know what it is cause what if the doctor tells me I can't lift anymore. I tried some flaxseed 1000mg capsules the last two/three weeks - hasn't changed.

I wonder if it's a joint issue, or a muscle issue or WHAT!

FRUSTRATED!!!!

www.t-nation.com/free_online_article/spo...s_and_trap_exercises

I found the article above very valuable in formulating a decent shoulder program. And it's based on a little science

I injured my left shoulder about a year and a half ago in a motorcross fall. It took about a year of barely training shoulders to come right and then slowly edging back into it. Could barely do lateral side raises cos it would start paining so had to go light for quite awhile and it's slowly gotten better. Still hurts now sometimes when I really push hard with the lateral raises. Injuring a shoulder is no joke and really screws over everything else. Could not do incline press for awhile as well.

:woohoo:

Too much pressing. Start with rear delts, at least 8 working sets, hold and squeeze with 4 seconds negatives. Then move onto side , same principle with 8 workng sets.

Try wide grip upright rows, focused leading with elbows and forget that close grip upright rowing which will toast yournr-cuff.

Then see if you want to press on a machine, same principle with the hold and squeeze and 4 seconds negative.

i used to struggle with shoulders so much, or i used to do the same basic routine and id get a pump but nothing likie i wanted.
So i sat down and started looking for exercises that would sculpt my shoulders the way i want them.

My routine is abit different and fresh. It works wonders for me, and the development iv had is unbelievable. Took a few guys threw it and they love it aswell.

my routine is :

20min warming up rotators alone, using cables, only one plate, very slow.

1) Dumbell shoulder press
super setted with 10kg Dumbell mid points. - 4 x 12.10.8.Drop ( Never lock out, keep the movement going controlled and slow )

2) one arm dumbell upright row ( more natural movement than heavy dumbell side raises and you can lean to hit different parts or the peak )
super setted with cable side raises - 4 x 15.12.10.8

3) Then i do front raises with a barbel
super setted with machine shoulder press - 4 x 15.12.10.8

4) underhand dumbel row elbow outward for rear delts
super setted with reverse peck 4 - 15.12.10.8

5) Barbel shrugs ( slow and tight squeeze )
super setted with 20kg plate in each hand by my side and shrug ( the plates have nice holes in them to grip )

Somthing that i also started doing is on chest day id do a front delt exercise and on back day id do rear delts, then on shoulders id klap all the delts.

Best shoulder workout iv ever done. i keep the exercises the same, just always trying to increase weight and i mix up the order so muscles are subjected to different amounts of stress in different areas every shoulder workout.
people said that " you cant super set to build size bla bla bla " they are way off. keep it tight, squeeze hard, dont lock out PUMP HARD. :cheer:
