just something i noticed over the last 2 weeks since i cleaned my diet. i am getting pretty lean as my only carb sources now are brown rice and oats and sometimes sweet potatoe. everytime though when i drink my pwo whey shake, i become bloated a half hour later. i have adjusted the amounts and i get the same effect. when i awake the next morning, i am back to normal however the same cycle repeats itself when i have my whey shake. my diet is extremely clean and i am noticing a huge drop in bf %. does anyone else experience this. i am thinking that maybe i am sensitive to whey if thats possible. the brand i am using is sps isopro. maybe i should change to a more reputable international brand like ON. any opinions?

Protein shakes can most definitely make you fat if you have too high amounts at once or if your total daily calories consumed exceeds total calories used. Excess protein is broken down and converted to glucose via gluconeogenesis which primarily takes place in the liver this glucose can then be stored as glycogen if stores need replenishment or converted to fat and stored
