Where can i find cheap protein bars, bulk

Yo I'm looking for a place to purchase protein bars. And who recommends what brand?

Those ISS Oh Yeah bars are lekker. About R300 for 12 at Supplement World. Don't know of any other place though. Soz.

sure i saw a recipe in ME or something for making your own, i've been wanting to try it. Just a suggestion but maybe search google and try making some those bars are too expensive for me to snack on R20 odd for one, i'll pass

A friend told me that woolies have bars for R10, i think he said it had about 20g protein and were low carb. I've looked for them but haven't seen them yet

Define protein bars?

Protein content goes from 20% up and the price with it. I am also looking into getting some made but the one's I want is made from Isolate and cost over R15 each. What protein content % would you like? 50%?

40g Protein per bar would be ideal I guess if you don't add any carbs. Otherwise 50% would be cool.

they are great you can get them in different flavours, the nut and cranberry one is my favourite

Yes I'm looking at around 35/40 grams a bar. In London I remember getting these jumbo bars, could hardly finish it, was very chewy.

Hmm, 15 bucks is what USN charges for their bars and pick n pay, around 30 or so grams of protein.

ummm the woolies ones are not great,they contain soy protien and a shit load of it...your best bet would be the supashape ones,get hold of marco rossi or bodyguru for those...

I will post some recipies later that I found on the internet, but it is easy to make. They are just sometimes a bit dry. The recipe I make the most is an mrp one, I will try to say it from memorie
1 cup chocolate protein powder (I now just take concentrate and add cocao)
1 cup oats
less than cup peanut butter
1 cup milk powder
2 egg whites
1 cup raisins (less and the bar less tasty, your choice, recipe was 1 cup, play with it)
I add some coconut just because I wanna
1/3 cup water, mix and in oven for 15 min, I make 14 bars, recipes says its 8 bars

There is a lot of similar recipies, they are great for an hectic schedule, just let some lay in random fridges (they last long outside also)
