Whey Concentrate Allergy ? was created by Fox
Hoping someone has some insight on this. i am using whey protein concentrate no colorants or flavours, similar to what LSJ sells. After a few weeks i get a dry patch on my upper lip as well on the corners of my mouth. The corners can start to tear. Now i know that this is usually due to a vit C or B deficiency but not in this case. I take 2 Solgar v2000, 5gram Vit C daily and B complex & B12 Shot every few weeks. When I stop using the whey it starts to clear. I have no other food allergies.
I usually mix my whey with skim milk but gonna change to water to see if it makes a diff. I dont remember getting this when using a comercial whey like O.N or EAS. I use +- 100grams of whey a day
Any ideas appreciated.

If it was an allergy then Im sure you would have experienced dry lips a lot sooner as opposed to a couple of weeks. It could be the vitamin C, 5 g a day is quite a bit and like anything, even taking too many vitamins at high doses can be harmful. Vitamin C is acidic and I think that might be the problem. Try dropping it down to 1000mg (you don't need more than that) a day and see if it helps
