Arginine and variations was created by LSJ
What is the views on Arginine out there?
Like with Creatine it seems to come in various forms. It forms part of a lot of supps out there but the tests regarding this product seems to be lacking a bit.
Any views/info would be appreciated.

For a person who doesn't gym, its not essential as the body is able to manufacture its own, but like glutamine it becomes essentail in those who exercise. It has been shown to increase the innate immune system (immediate responses to pathogens). Other benefits will include increased blood flow to the muscles as arginine is a precursor to nitric oxide and so this will increase the transportation of nutrients, oxygen etc to the muscles (this gives you the pumped look). I cant seem to find evidence though for other propsed benefits. There are tons of papers from journals in pubmed

Thanks Sting for the reply.
I need as many replies and comments to this thread as I would love for LSJ to start stocking arginine.
Just think of the mean pre-work out shake that you'll be able to make.
If you're anything like me I struggle during the off season to get a proper pump and this route is a lot more affordable that name brand supps.

Its all about intrinsic value. To me pricey is if I train hard and I don't get pumped, now that's pricey.L-arginine (raw) is very pricy though

well if you can afford all these anabolics then Im sure you can afford arginine. It is one of the most expensive amino acids but its still affordable, just that things add up over time. But I understand what you mean by intrinsic value. If LSJ manages to get it, it would be great. Personally, I think he should get it but I dont know how other members feel. The info I gave on its benefits was research done so its not controversial but other known benefits have no proof
