Dextrose has a very high GI.
Why do you ask? Do you want to create an insulin spike?

But thats very post workout orientated,
BigMan high GI basically means fast acting/ fast releasing carbs. Meaning Gluclose is released at a more rapid rate into your bloodstream.
Quite alot of the Mass shakes on the Market have fast acting carbs, if you looking for it as a general protein shake??
Otherwise post workout listen to jo1, there are pre-combined high GI post workout shakes never used any of them so wouldnt know. I just combine whey, creatine, Glutamine and have an energade. Does the trick.
Peace

Howzit guys! Im looking for a good high glycemic carb shake... Whatever that is... Any suggestions/ recomendations?
Hey bro,
What's up, who recommended the high GI post workout shake to you?
How old are you, what's your training history and wat are your goals?
Have you had someone help you with diet and training routines?
Most supplement companies market high GI shakes as their super mass MRP's etc... But as you read above its just a mix of protein, creatine, glutamine, and simple carbs. The simple carbs are in there to spik insulin, because when your insulin levels rise then the other nutrients that you want to get to your muscles like the protein and creatine will get there more efficiently.
As you will find these shakes are poes expensive and that's why we make our own. We just combine the protein and other goodies we want to get to our muscles with some sugary carbs like pure glucose or dextrose or a complex product like energade. If you are starting out then the only two ingredients you will need are the whey protein and the carb source. Either of the above will do... We need to get a good idea of where you are with training and nutrition and weight and bodycomp etc to really help but typically you'll probably be aiming for like 40g carb 40g protein post workout.
If you are a more experienced trainer (who has never heard of mass gainers???) then you can add in creatine, and finally glutamine.
