what shake do u make post work out? mine is simple,60g of whey,60g dextrose 10g creatine and 10g glutamine....all good all done...
Here goes.....1 cup oats, 6 scoops(150g) WPC, 3 tsp cottage cheese, 1 dst sp peanut butter, 1 egg yolk, 6 egg whites, 1 banana, 6 ice cubes. Large glass for me and small glass for the wife.
Are these eggs raw ????
Sure they raw, you don't even taste them when all mixed in blender. It makes a lovely tasting shake, my wife even started drinking it with me.
I've read an article a long time ago that cooked eggs are a lot more beneficial.
BeeSting also posted some info about this some time back.
Why don't you rather have a dextrose/whey/CM shake after your workout.
Then cook the eggs and eat them with the oats.
Why the cottage cheese so early in the day ?
Normally cottage cheese or casien is eaten before bed as you fast for 8 hours.

I hate fuckin eggs and this is the only way I get it in - not tasting them.
What do you add with the WPC,dextrose,CM to make it liquid?
Cottage cheese only for taste. I also take it with WPC before bed.
If everybody does it, is it still cheating?

I was reading through the Advance Weight training manual in the download section and came across this piece of info....what do you guys think?
"After your clients’ intense and exhaustive
resistance- training workout, have
him/her hop on a stair-master, exercise
bike, or choose any one of a hundred
other aerobic activities. Break out some
nutritious form of Simple Sugar (fruit
juices, honey, etc.). Immediately ingest
anywhere from 100 to 500 calories of
this simple sugar. The actual number of
these calories should be determined based
on two variables. #1- How energy
exhaustive their training session was, and
#2- the length of time they plan on performing
the “low to moderate intensity”
post-workout aerobic activity. Keep in
mind that the circulatory system has an
average capacity to maintain 80 calories
of glucose before “spilling over”, and
that it will take at least 5 to 7 minutes
before the ingested simple sugar even
reaches the bloodstream. Take these factors
into consideration when applying
the Force-Feeding concept.
As with the cyclist, as long as they are
performing activity, the bulk of ingested
sugar will be driven into recovering and
working muscle tissues. It is suggested
that you experiment somewhat in determining
the right exercise duration and
number of calories ingested. When properly
applied, they should experience a
more “full” feeling upon completion of
this post-workout activity. The reason
for this sensation, as you are probably
aware, is due to the enormous amount of
water that accompanies Insulin-carried
blood glucose into recovering muscles.
With this said, have the client drink
plenty of water during this activity.
It is a fact that catabolism (break
down of muscle tissue), initiated during
the workout, typically continues for some
time after training until sufficient recovery
energy (blood glucose) is provided
from outside the muscles. Once this “outside
help” is provided, damaged muscles
will stop eating away at themselves for
energy. The Force-Feeding concept
directly addresses this issue, thus accelerating
recovery from training and shortening
the catabolic period.
Used properly, this “Force-Feeding”
concept will dramatically minimize the
duration of post-workout catabolism
“naturally”, and more rapidly initiate
anabolism. These principles have been
theorized and researched independently
by the National Federation of Professional
Trainers and found sufficiently effective
to warrant publication. While this practice
is proven quite safe and free from
health risk only apparently healthy individuals
should practice “force-feeding”.
As mentioned earlier, those diabetics,
insulin dependent or otherwise, are
advised to take appropriate measures in
this concept’s application, given their
own familiarity with their specific health
concerns. As stated earlier, since the initial
publication of this “Force-Feeding”
concept, there have been reports of its
effectiveness in practical application
without a single trainer complaint or
report of ineffective implementation.

Have a go at cooking the eggs first then put them into a blender, raw eggs are going to cause you problems.
Add water to the WPC, dextrose, CM.

The only extra thing to add in is that by eating raw eggs you risk salmonella poisoning and biotin deficiency.

Advantages of cooking your eggs:
Avidin in raw eggs bind biotin (Vitamin B7 essential in many metabolic process including fat and amino acid metabolism)and therefore cant be absorbed. So cook your eggs allowing for biotin absorbtion.
No chance of getting Salmonella poisoning
Anyways as Inja said cooking your eggs wont destroy the protein, it just denatures the protein meaning that the protein unfolds from its conformational structure but there is no loss of amino acids and the net amount remains the same. Salmonella poisoning is no joke, the toxins enter the blood and interefere with physiological and biological functioning of the body and may even lead to death. Cooking your eggs will destroy this bacterium as well as the toxins produced by Salmonella

If they can't ship it to you, you can probably use something like Powerade or Energade concentrate syrup or Honey. Not sure.
If you always put limit on everything you do, physical or anything else. It will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.

Most pharmacies sell pure glucose (very cheap), or just use normal cane sugar or white bread (has very high GI, so it spikes sln).

Glutamine is great for PWO, your glutamine is depleted during weight lifting so its best to supplement with gln post workout

Glutamine is just an amino acid, taking it after cardio is not gonna make things worse, its beneficial to your body so take 5 g PWO and 5g before bed with a whey shake or cottage cheesesorry glutamine i read was not great for after cardio.
