A good whey protein?
I have lactose issues and a lot of supps give me problems.
What is a good pure whey product that i can get at a local dischem type store?
Ive been on Universal whey isolates, not sure how good these are.
Thanks

well whey protein is derived from milk so u are gonna have issues with the lactose.. ummm maybe look at upping your whole food content for protein intake, also look at cottage cheese,i know that it has the lowest levels of lactose in it..

Sorry to hijack the thread Jack but I have a similar issue. I've never had a problem with whey but the last week or so whenever I take some whey I can bearly walk from stomach cramps (I've been using SSN Whey). I've never had a problem with it. I don't think its lactose intolerance because I can drink a cup of milk and be perfectly fine.
Anyone got any ideas?
Oh and Jack I've read Universal whey isolates are lactose free.

Try the war whey. I find it very good bang for buck.
But if u want the best that is out there, then get the bsn syntha 6. Its a bit pricey but man that stuff is fantastic!! And it wont hurt ur stomach at all or go right through u

I also have lactose intolerance. You have to use a whey protein isolate. The foreign brands will be too expensive.
I use IsoPro by SPS (you can buy it at DisChem)- it's awesome.
No gas or bloating and you don't feel like you've taken a punch to the stomach after drinking it (i get this with other whey concentrate/isolate blends).
