This is actually a topic I wanted to start too, sort of.

I'm also taking magnesium but that's for the gut and cramps (prevention).

I also make use of psyllium husk to stay regular.

My question is what multi vitamin do you all use?

I'd love to use animal pak, but I find it hard to justify the price.

Ondier's Maximal pack looks good too...

But what off the shelf products do you use?

When it hurts... That's when i start counting, because that's when it starts to count.

I use Pharmaton mainly. Ye I also take Phsyllium husks but mainly while cutting I find I don't need them while bulking or maintaining.

What's a good Sup for cardiovascular health? Face it some of the games we play can put strain on our hearts and heart issues seem to be the main culprit when it comes to Body builder fatalities later in life.

Go big or go home...

High protein does a number on me so I stick with it :pinch:

Theres a cardio-care vitamin(by Vital?), but haven't paid too much attention.

Perhaps it's time, thanks for pointing it out Rhino!

Ye I see Evan Centerponi is a big advocate of dedicated liver. Do most health shops carry it?

Don't rate Multi's personally. Under dosed, poorer forms, and you likely don't need 80% of the ingredients in them.

I use l-carnitine, vitamin d, magnesium, curcumin and a supplement blend called cycle support by AI sports (even off cycle).

Recommend for anyone: Vitamin D, Omega 3
I use myself (additionally) : Iron, Vitamin C (on occasion of compromised immune system or when abroad)
I've found useful: Essentiale (when using oral gear), Aged garlic (insulin sensitivity & more), multi-vitamin (on occasion of a restrictive diet abroad), zinc

Vit D and Omega 3 are really the only supps I can pretty much recommend blindly. All other supplements should be catered for your personal needs. As soon as you start taking something because you "think it might be a good idea" - stop yourself and re-asses 'case you can cause damage/ problems.

The other thing; a lot of the amino's most of us probably already take have multiple beneficial functions in the body such as glutamine, taurine and creatine. Real good foe overall health. I might be forgetting some but I'm tired as fuck as I type.

Veering away from Rhino's original intention/ topic as this is getting more to do with fitness as opposed to general health supplementation, so sorry if we are derailing.

Quite interestingly the general population of earth is protein deficient, so yeah, increasing protein consumption full stop is a good recommendation for anybody. Certain amino's specifically not so much but for fitness/ health enthusiasts:
Creatine - Proven supplement. Recommend for anybody weight lifting.
Taurine - I've found it helps with cramps - just be wary "when" you take it in as it can affect uptake of certain amino-acids.
Gluatamine - Aids in immune system and gastric health. Supplement and body building companies market it as much more but IMO it's not that important unless you know you need it.

I should really write articles on this stuff on my blog so I can just reference it in future. I must've posted similiar advice multiple times on this forum :P

Generic over marketed site but I'm sure the facts stand... I love the stuff, so have a look. Perhaps there is the answer to heart health? :P

Fillet, how much of the dessicated liver would one use and how often?

Surely it contains protein and fat?
Therfore counted into daily macros?

I take 2400mg daily, rich in amino acids, vitamin b, magnesium and iron. Been on it for years bud. I do not count this into my macro split.

We are not derailing though. Creatine has been found to be beneficial in brain health / cognition and taurine is a partial neurotransmitter and important to the heart particularly when on AAS. And of course glutamine has dozens of functions in the body. These amino's supplement general health.

These amino's are also best taken away from whole proteins for them to induce pharmacological responses.

"Amino acids have specific pharmacological properties that are often lost or diluted when they are ingested together with other amino acids. To obtain the pharmacological levels necessary to achieve a benefit high levels of protein would need to be ingested. Unfortunately high levels of protein are inadequate to the task not because they fail in the attempted provision of the quantity needed but rather because high protein intake fails in the delivery."
