NIZORAL from Wiki.... Ketoconazole the active ingredient in NIZ

Ketoconazole is a synthetic antifungal drug used to prevent and treat fungal skin infections, especially in immunocompromised patients such as those with AIDS or those on chemotherapy. Ketoconazole is sold commercially as an anti-dandruff shampoo, topical cream, and oral tablet.

Ketoconazole is very lipophilic, which leads to accumulation in fatty tissues. The less toxic and more effective triazole compounds fluconazole and itraconazole are sometimes preferred for internal use.[citation needed] Ketoconazole is best absorbed at highly acidic levels, so antacids or other causes of decreased stomach acid levels will lower the drug's absorption when taken orally. Absorption can be increased by taking it with an acidic beverage, such as cola.

it is available without a script - OTC.

Thank for that info! Went to Dischem this morning and opted for the Kez shampoo since it is basically the same thing (it seems) at half the price.

Do i use this every day or just a couple of times a week?

Every day, and leave it to soak on the skin.
It doesn't traverse the skin barrier well but if you are not so prone to shedding it is another 0.2% help. Akin to all the other vitamins and herbs (eg milk thistle) we take to help on cycle.

Sorry if I offend you
Its just my point of view
