Freezing food

Freezing food was created by LXIX
Is it safe to freeze food for storage, defrost and cook it, and then freeze it again for use throughout the following week or so?
(The chicken breast thread made me wonder this)

Yes, it is fine. Just don't leave them lying out once you have cooked them. Put them straight into the freezer.

yip, it's safe. once cooked you can divide into suitable portions per meal and just pop into the microwave

No it is not a good idea to thaw it and heat up and then re-freeze it.
Rather divide up the portions and freeze them separately.
