Blue bulls go pink

I used to get far to emotionally invested in sport. I actually used to take it very personally when my team lost (my teams being - Sharks, Springboks and Arsenal) All of this resulted in me not actually enjoying watching Rugby or Soccer anymore. Two sports which I played and loved. Since I started training and started worrying more about my own growth and performance, I've started caring less about the sports results that I have no control over anyway. Makes for a much happier and focused version of me, and as a result I actually enjoy watching the odd game here and there again

Na guys when you've gone through the highs and many lows over many years with your favourite team its hard not to feel emotionally attached and loyal to them especially when a rival team's supporters start talking kak. Its kinda like the bond you have with your car and the rage you feel when a complete stranger puts their finger prints on it

Wasn't a very good game. Neither team looked like scoring a try. Besides the sharks breakout try. But nothing from constructive play. The Bulls defense really impressed me though. Think it is going to be a tough conference this year.

Yeah true 00Pump. Some great rugby. Let's hope they can keep it up. Really suprised me as I was expecting a bad start with losing so many experienced players. But the youngsters are stepping up. Also like the fact that they can vary their style of play and run a bit too.

Stormers tight 5 look good but that's about where it ends. Etzebeth has great potential as a youngster.

Worrying that the sharks are misfiring so badly. Let's hope they can lift themselves up. Silly mistakes and poor skills. Dunno what's going on there. Must say I really dislike Keegan Daniel. His attitude sucks and not a captain in my books.

Ye, I didn't like the way he handled the ref in that game when we had 'poor' support. Also I find Bismark is being isolated just like Spies was in previous years, because we do not have some of our other big ball carriers, end of the day, we played well first half, second half we threw the game away... Also not sure whats hapening on our backline, moving players around like that, then again i'm not 1/10000th as experienced as Plumtree, so I guess I must respect what he is doing..

On that note, i'm quite impressed with Ludeke, as it was said, the Bulls would struggle with players in retirment or moving overseas and then Meyer leaving the bulls to coach the Boks... But in essence you guys picking up and playing as a 'unit', that is what allowed the Lions to win the Currie Cup, we smashed then Quarter finals, then our big bois come back from the World Cup, and have 'individual play' and what happens we suck because we lost 'a team' but gains some experience, so it doesn't always work out well..

Hopefully we can pick it up... anyway, going to watch the Bulls play Reds at Loftus in the next short while.

I'm a big Sharks fan, despite being a Pretoria boy. Yet, I have to say, ever since going to university and watching my first Varisty Cup game here at the Coetzenburg stadium, seeing Maties give TUT a 62-0 drubbing, Varsity Cup now has my support, best rugby to watch IMO

Maybe quite true, this year hasn't been as good skill- and talent-wise as previous years, but 2010 was amazing, it got me hooked. Seeing backline moves and runs like never before, seeing a prop from a seemingly still-standing position smash over two to three other forwards, and back then Maties still had Conrad Hoffman at flyhalf. He was pure genius back then, seems his talent is being left to rot away in the Superrugby I'm afraid.

Wow what a poor performance from the Bulls. The Blues weren't that great but the Bulls poor execution cost them dearly. Pity they only started playing proper rugby with 6 mins left.

agree with that summary.. Morne had a mare of a game.. That last 6mins was bliss.. How was Spies though, he had a great one, his field control was amazing, rest of the team though.. Where was Wynand??? And Basson popped his head in every now and again, so many no contests..
