So this afternoon I'm watching X-factor and out comes Kelly Clarkson to perform. Dress a bit tight for her figure but who cares as long as she is happy. Right? Next minute I see a facebook update from our leading bodybuilding magazine editor commenting about her swallowing a bakery.
Now of course its his status and he has a right to his opinion. I comment and say its a little harsh. Just sharing my opinion as is done on a platform such as FB.
Suddenly I get a reply that if I don't like his comments I should remove myself as he has enough, and I quote, "clowns" to deal with on facebook!
Very taken aback I responded by asking if this is what he is implying:
1. That only his opinion matters
2. That if u don't agree with him a tantrum is thrown and ur not welcome.
3. That his followers are seen as "clowns"?
Needless to say I was removed and subsequently blocked from his profile.
I firmly agree that he is entitled to his opinion. But as a role model for our industry and beloved sport one must act like an ambassador. The point of a public forum is interaction between people with different views and opinions.
This kind of behaviour is exactly why so many people see bodybuilders etc as self censtered egotistical people.
From total respect to ass in 5 seconds.
I don't know if I'm breaking any rules here. And I am sure many will disagree with me as the individual has many followers. If rules have bn broken I apologise.

I'm just taken aback by his response and little outburst directed at me for merely saying they being a bit harsh and critical. Very professional indeed.

So many ppl will always toe the line as they dare not question the mainstream. But that's the beauty of it, everyone has and is entitled to their opinion. Whether it should always be voiced and how its voiced is often debateable.
I find it interesting though that he didn't have the balls to explain himself and his conduct on the platform he started it on. Guess its lack of a proper pct

To you it may look like I just did a push-up... But in fact, I just bench-pressed the world.

Also got blocked a while ago for taking him on on a status he made about how ME always endorses and helps local BB regardless of the costs, so I was like "is that why you fill your magazine with international brands?". He had earlier argued on his ME forums that we should support local brands as they give back to the local BB circuit while international brands don't help us at all. So I call him out on his hypocrisy and get blocked immediately, looks like he's a supporter of the protection of info bill...
Sorry guys Apparently it is true, cause its happened to certain people already, so I’m not taking any chances !!

Its "clowns" like me who buy, correction....used to buy his magazine. If I'm the clown then he run's the circus and without us clowns there aint much of a circus mate. I honestly had respect for the man. Its a shame as there are other ppl affiliated to this magazine who are nice guys.

Agree with deadgoat. My and his contribution or in this case the lack there of won't hurt magazine sales at all. But its a matter of principle. It may not be important to many but I stand for what I believe in. Lack of principles in life leads to where we are today as a country as well.Deadgoat wrote: Much prefer the interwebs, don't want to thicken Mr C's wallet any further
Regarding the mag...yeah its a good mag. Ooohh its glossy too now...wink wink. Personally find the drug profiles interesting. Articles though are becoming repetitive, just get some older copies and compare. Looks wise...yeah it looks good. Not slamming it at all because of Mr C. I've come to this conclusion months ago.
Also prefer the web and this forum.
